Great watch
Great if you’re not after these super huge watches everyone is wearing. Tested down to 33 meters with no issues, I like that it tells you if you’re descending or coming up to fast. Easy to see under water, even for its size and the screen is brighter than I expected. Also works great as fitness trackers , tested it at Muay Thai , swimming , running , walking and paddle boarding with no issues. Battery can drain fast if you leave pulse ox on all the time but doesn’t take long to charge back up.

Amazing
I bought them on sale. They are wonderful watches. They have everything needed for scuba diving and freediving, apnea, plus a compass. Lots of functions all in one. Satisfied 100 %

G2 Descent.
Bought as a dive computer, but it has so much more. Excellent watch with a wealth of features. As a professional sailor it gives me tides, atmospheric pressure, storm warning, as well as heart monitoring etc. Very impressed.

Broken after one month.
Broken after a month. It was great for the first 31 days, now the screen won’t turn on randomly.

Beware - you need another Dive Computer with this dive Computer - that’s what Garmin says!!
Be aware - If you plan for this device to REPLACE your sole dive computer that GARMINs online manual states: ‘This device should not be used as a sole dive computer. ‘ This is an additional statement - which aligns partly with the Suunto D4i I have - of ‘ Always use backup instruments, including a depth gauge, submersible pressure gauge, and timer or watch. You should have access to decompression tables when diving with this device.’ The Suunto equivalent text does not state it ‘should not be used a sole dive computer’ only that ‘ USE BACKUP INSTRUMENTS! Ensure that you use backup instrumentation, including a depth gauge, submersible pressure gauge, timer or watch, and have access to decompression tables whenever diving with a dive computer.’ Finding this out after purchase means I am now thinking about returning the Garmin Descent as they are not as confident with their device as Suunto…!!!

Outstanding dive computer!
Excellent little device! Great for diving as well as a daily lifestyle watch. At the time of writing I have about 10 dives logged. I really like the statistics it shows me with every activity. I use this daily to track my exercise and sleep quality prior to diving.

Great diving and lifestyle companion
I have had this diving computer for close to a year and use it daily. It works well, once you take the time to learn how to use it. It has many functions so it pays to read the mnual first! I have logged 20 dives so far, and I love the output. However, I also use it on a permanent basis to keep track of my health and life habits. It also keeps track of my sleep but that feature is not highly reliable. Now, as far as I understand, keeping reliable track of sleep requires a different product, hence I am not penalizing the review for that shortcomming. I also tested its panic function, by mistake, and it sent the messages immediately. I am quite happy with my diving computer!
