Awesome diapers, can't beat the price.
I've pretty much tried all of the other disposable diapers that are available here in scalding-hot Phoenix, AZ - store brands and name brands both - and for the money, Luvs are the best I've found. My little boy puts these things through their paces. He's a prolific pee machine, sometimes going a couple of times in short order before we know he's gone even once, filling right up with the yellow stuff. The Luvs just suck it all up and he's still a happy little boy, even with pee in his pants. No leaks, or wet spots where the diaper was squeezed out like a sponge. He's also a big time pooper, not in number of times he goes, but QUANTITY (because every one of you wants to know this, you can be satisfied now that I've shared). Every other diaper we tried, famous brands and drugstore, had blowouts. Imagine my surprise at 3am when I've got a skidmark on my freshly washed night shirt because the Pampers my kiddo was wearing couldn't handle the load. Now imagine my joy when he's had many 'Defcon 5' poo incidents while wearing Luvs and not one bit of it came out of the sides. Are they perfect? For us they absolutely are. Will they always keep my baby's bodily fluids well-contained? You can never say never, but I will take a majority of containment over playing "What is this substance on me?" every time I'm holding my baby when he does his business. I'll get back to you as he grows - who knows what solid food adventures have in store - can the Luvs contain not only solid food excrement, but hold up to the inevitable baby stuffing things in the diaper surprises? Stay tuned. I'll update if I get a chance. Over all, these diapers are win-win. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and are inexpensive, especially if you subscribe and save, even more so if you are an Amazon Mom. 20% off? Yes, please! The one caveat to this is if you are fragrance sensitive or your child is, these diapers do have a light baby powderish scent to them. I find it pleasant, but some of you may not. That would be my one thing for anyone considering the Luvs diapers to keep in mind, otherwise these are an excellent value in price and performance. EDIT 6/14: We loved this brand of diapers so much we are also using them for our new baby. They're still working great and are still the best value for price, especially if you have Prime and Amazon Mom. Don't waste your money on the bigger name-brands, these are great!

Excellent diapers.
For the price, these are great. Great price, great product, no leaks, no dampness. Lightly scented, but wish they were a little less scented, but OK. They don't have a wetness indicator, but I can tell by feeling the diaper through my baby's clotes how puffy or squishy they are if they are wet or not. My baby can go all night with one of these and wake up dry. Pampers Swaddlers are nice, but they got damp on the outside, so after about one month of age, they aren't any good for baby. Huggies are nice, but too costly. I tried the Parents Choice as well, but they are cheapy, and leaky. Luvs work great!

Just ok
These would have been really excellent cheep diapers, but they contain a lot of perfume. My little one got rashy from them and I didn't care for the smell either. If your little one isn't sensitive to perfume they were fairly nice diapers . We did finish the box, but she could only tolorate to wear one a day and needed to be changed immediately when wet. They didn't seem to leak or "blow out" but we didn't have her sleep in them so they weren't really "tested". Overall, they're maybe worth a try if your baby doesn't have a sensitive bottom.

pleasantly surprised!
My husband and I are first time parents but I am no stranger to changing a diaper so I thought it shouldn't make a difference what type of diapers I bought. We were given huggies and pampers through our baby showers so that is what we were using. We also found ourselves changing baby clothes several times a day due to leaks - I check/change my baby before feeding, after feeding, before nap, and after nap and the longest he has gone at night so far is 4.5 hours so you wouldn't think he could fill up a diaper that fast (I can't believe how much I find in there for a 7 week old) but no matter what we did - how tight we strapped the diaper, how high we moved it up in the back, whether or not we checked the snuggness around the legs, etc, we found ourselves with some nasty leaks in both huggies and pampers. So we moved up a size to size 1 in diapers and that helped a little, but I went to the store and looked at the luvs. I noticed they were much cheaper than both huggies and pampers so I was a little skeptical, thinking you get what you pay for. When I got home with my small package of luvs I took them out of the package and looked at them. No wetness indicator, the design was not all that appealing, and they felt really thin. I thought, "Oh well, I only bought a small pack if they turn out to really suck...". I used them that night with every change and NO LEAKS. The next morning I went back to using the huggies and pampers during the day and had at least 2 leaks requiring changing baby clothes. Night time, went back to luvs - NO LEAKS. I'm trying to use up what I've got in the house, but so far, I have been super impressed with the luvs ultra leakguards in the prevention of leaks compared to the more expensive huggies and will continue to use them exclusively at night and will start buying them for full time use once I run out of the other diapers I have. It's a great find and the price can't be beat (10 cents/diaper if you have both amazon prime and amazon mom subscription and then do the subscribe and save)! Update - I had originally bought small 50 packs of these at Walmart and did not notice the powder smell as noted above. When I ordered from amazon these diapers were tightly wrapped in plastic inside a box and when I opened just the box, I got a strong whiff of the powder smell - which was very off-putting. Fortunately it was a beautiful and windy day outside so I ripped a long hole in each plastic casing, set them out on a patio chair for about 5 hours and when I brought them back in the scent was very faint. So air out your diapers for a day and the smell becomes much more pleasant/faint!
