Great product (exactly as described) and awesome service. However, no luck at last!
The package I received was exactly as described. Two short stems, with small leaf buds on each. Planted them and within weeks they both sprouted new leaves. I did use Miracle-Gro seed starting potting mix though. Everything was going great until week 4, where suddenly the leaves started to dry out and everything just went south. I guess they are all gone now. Sometimes it's just bad luck I guess. However, the key reason I decided to write the review is for the awesome customer service of the "Discount Hawaiian Gift". For the first time, I found a seller who was proactive. As soon as they shipped the product, they sent me an email letting me know about the shipment and if they could help me in any way. Next, they even checked back on me after a couple of weeks to see if all was going well and if they could help in any way. When things turned bad, I asked if I could get an replacement and they immediately agreed. I am awaiting the replacement product now. Let's see how that works. Though I have quite a bit of garden, this was my first time planting such stem-cuttings (bought online). There always an element of surprise (and luck), and I guess I am okay with it. The key is, if you have a great seller who is more than willing to help, it just makes things bit easy. I would definitely recommend DHG for your purchases.UPDATE August 18:So it has been more than a month and a half since i planted the replacement. Exact same thing happened. The stem cuttings sprout real fast, shoot out 3-5 small leaves, and you get very hopeful. However, then the cuttings just get stagnant. The leaves stay as they are for few days, no more growth. After a couple of weeks, they eventually turn yellow and die off. This is after taking ALL the possible precautions (plant them in correct media, use root growth hormones, keep them humid, you name it). I don't think it is a coincidence that the second batch had the EXACT SAME fate as the first. May be its me, but with at least 7 more hibiscus plants (some real starters) growing and even blooming happily, not sure what I could have done wrong. Online hibiscus cuttings seem so easy to root, but no luck with me. The service was great, but after the second mishap, when I contacted the seller (not for replacement, but for advice), they didn't even reply back. I would still recommend the seller, but for anyone trying to grow hibiscus, I would advise to look somewhere else, where you can get starter plants in the same price range. You'll have a lot more chances of succeeding! Good luck!

Not recommended
So disappointed, not a plant but a cutting and it will be 3 months before it can be planted so summer season in NH will be over. Cannot be returned so feel as if I lost my money

Buyer beware!!!
Terrible! Do not buy this! Tmcame in 2 tiny stubs, one if which is dead. Very misleading and non-returnable. This shouldn't be allowed on Amazon! I'm extremely disapponted!
