CkitzeUSA to Europe Travel Power Plug Adapter

It kind of worked. It would stop every now and then. But I think I had it loose. I like it.

This is a cheap adapter and it might prove useful to you if you travel to continental Europe but it comes with several problems: (a) Although this and many similar adapters old are advertised as US-to-European plug adapters, they are not truly so. The size of the prongs are those of Hong Kong, not Europe. European prongs look similar but they are thicker. As a result, the plugs will not fit tightly to many plugs, especially those that have been used heavily. If you want true European size prongs, buy the  Heavy Duty Grounded USA American To European German Schuko Outlet Plug Adapter - 6 Pack . However, not all outlets are Schuko outlets. (b) The adapter in not polarized and therefore you cannot use it to convert the more recent American plugs that have one prong wider than the other. (c) With repeated use, the adapter may separate in two pieces, one remaining inside the outlet and one in your hands. Removing the piece from the outlet will require that you turn off electric power to the outlet. The Schuko adapters mentioned above are much better made and they are not easy to separate. In addition, polarized USA plugs and grounded USA plugs with three prongs fit.I have looked myself for similar adapters without the problems mentioned above but (with the exception of the Schuko ones) I have not found any yet. Hence, I carry several of them and a few Schucko adapters and, in general, with some care my job is done.If you have Apple electronics (laptop, iphone, etc) use Apple's adapters. They are well made and the prongs have the right size. (The Apple kit  Apple MB974ZM/B World Travel Adapter Kit  includes adapters for all worldwide travel.) However, Apple's adapters fit only Apple's transformers. If you want to use Apple's extension electrical cord that came with your laptop, you need an adapter that is polarized and admits a 3-prong plug. Again the Schuko adapter is OK but this one is not.

These work fine for what they are, but by the time you plug your device into this adapter everything tends to fall out of the outlet. We found that in most hotels in Italy and France you get maybe one outlet. I found that I was mostly using this adapter for USB chargers, and what ended up working better was a 220V EU-style multi-USB charger that includes an extension EU power outlet. Keep in mind also, that many of the wall outlets are the recessed type, so not all plugs will even work in those outlets. Also, before using an adapter like this, check laptop chargers, USB chargers or other adapters to make sure they can use both 110v and 220v inputs as this does not convert voltage!

We needed adapters for our trip to Italy and these worked great. They're so cheap I bought extras so nobody had to wait to charge their phones, cameras, razors, etc. We did notice they can be a little loose depending on the socket but nothing critical. It could simply be that the sockets in certain hotels were worn from being used over the years by so many plugs.Remember to check your devices to see whether you need a power converter instead of just this adapter. All this does is change the prong type from USA to European, it does NOT convert the voltage from 220v to 110v. Most of todays smaller devices can accept either voltage, check the device or its power cord for input voltage or a switch (on things like hair dryers).

This adapter is well-built, and it's a great choice if you're traveling to Europe from any country using the U.S. "twin vertical spade" electrical plugs. Be sure your device doesn't need a converter. While most modern cell phones and other small electronics do not need converters, you'll want to check your device or its plug to determine that. If it says something like "110-220 volts," the device is rated for anything in that range, and all you need is this adapter so the plug will fit into the European sockets. By the way, I highly recommend that you count the devices you will be taking with you and purchase enough of these little adapters so you can plug all your devices in to use or recharge simultaneously if necessary.

This is a must have if you are traveling in Europe. It is small and lightweight and fits easily into a carry on bag. Most hotels and cruise ships will take American plugs. The one place that does not, is in the airport. If you need to charge your phone or tablet while in the airport, it can't be done without an adapter. This one is perfect!

I bought a couple of these converters for a trip to Turkey. They worked well for me. Make sure these will work for the country you're traveling to before buying.

Cheap enough, which is what I wanted. The one thing that was annoying to me was that most outlets in Italy were veritcal and what I plugged into it would fall partly out because the prong receptacles are quite loose. At times I had to very carefully tweak the plug until it "almost" stayed in. Other times I would prop something up near it to hold the plug in.

Lo compre para un viaje de 2 semanas por Portugal y Holanda en donde me funciono perfectamente.Es buena opción a costo razonable "60 pesos". Si vas a visitar Europa solo revisa que sea del tipo que necesitas ya que algunos países requieren de otro tipo de adaptadores.Personalmente recomiendo no esperar a comprarlo en Europa que un producto parecido no baja de 10 Euros.

Es justo lo que esperaba. Es una opción barata pero buena si van a viajar a Europa, solo asegúrense de revisar que sea el conector adecuado para el país que visitan. Yo lo utilicé en España y Suecia sin problemas (este tipo de conector aplica a otros países también) y no tuve los problemas de ruido que mencionan otros usuarios.

En realidad no hay mucho que decir sobre este producto. Es muy cómo de usar y necesario para cargar con él en los viajes al extranjero.

Cometí un error al comprar este adaptador, $78 por un solo adaptador es un precio muy altoAl conectar una salida americana al adaptador queda muy flojo
