Another heart warming family story from Erica Janes

For me, Erica is a fantastic story teller and you cant help but connect with each character she creates...HOWEVER, this is NOT one of her best by a long shot. Somehow she missed the connection to Mother who ran to the other side of the world, and you didn't re-connect with her when she came back, but the relationship between the grandma and the family was pure joy... they cant all be to everyone's taste, but, for me. she has had better days...

I absolutely love this author, I read her books one after the other and none of them have been a disappointment. There is always a great guy in them, something Italian or set near to water. Sorry I am not a clever writer but Erica James is and if you want the feel good factor read her books. This one is just lovely, I won't say anymore, if you like to escape into something nice then this book is for you.

Excellent book by an excellent author

This is a great story with lots of characters all different but all very interesting. This is a love story but also a family story, Jenny Agutter is the best person to read Erica James books. She has great voices and expressions I've found her the best reader from others some people can be boring she isn't . If you love Erica James books then you will love this one. I would recommend, couldn't stop listening to it.

There is always warmth in Erica James's books, this one is no exception. And even though you want to shake and rattle the inhabitants, you wish them well. Especially admirable I think is the way Miss James interweaves in her stories small or big tragedies in peoples lifes that are not talked about freely in our society and by writing about it gives us a better understanding.I especially recommend: [ASIN:0752883518 Gardens Of Delight]]

Erica James has a talent for introducing individual characters, and then gradually entwining their lives around each other.Again tackling sensitive subjects with great care, Good easy read.

Not read

This is another sweet/sour romance from the mistress of the genre, bought through Amazon. This time slow to start and with a lot of characters to handle but all carefully limned. Of course it ends happily!

I loved it, from start to finish, so romantic.

I BOUGHT THIS BOOK AS A PRESENT FOR A FRIEND AND SHE REALLY ENJOYED IT. (I HAD ALREADY READ THIS BOOK AND THOUGHT IT WAS EXTREMELY WELL WRITTEN AND THE WRITER PORTRAYS TWO DIFFERENT DISABILITIES IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU JUST ACCEPT THE CHARACTERS FOR WHO THEY ARE, DESPITE THEIR PROBLEMS. A really, lovely story. I have read a number of Erica James' books now and will definitely read more.

I did not enjoy this as much as other of her books as I felt it was somewhat predictable. I will continue to read this great author.

Beautiful book

I am gradually buying all of Erica James's books on Kindle so that I no longer need to borrow them from the library, as they are proving harder to find now than they used to be.
