Can't be exposed in the rain
The dimmer works great for Led dimmable string lights. You can go from full brightness to low light in small steps. The 4 presets work great and instantly go to the desired level. The lights do not flicker and stay at a constant light level. The only problem is that you can't leave the dimmer outside and exposed to the rain even if not being used. The waterproof description is misleading as it is only ip66 level. This means It can't be exposed to rain for more than 3 minutes even if you wrap the plugs with electric tape. The instructions do explain this but the item description on amazon does not mention it can't be left outside in the rain. If you don't mind hooking it up only when you want to use the dimmer and it isn't raining then this is a great product. If you plan to permanently install this outside or use it when raining then do not buy this dimmer.

Works with FEIT LED Patio Lights
Bought this with the hope that it would work with my Feit Electric LED patio lights from Costco. Seems to work great! There are 4 different presets and separate buttons for manual increase and decrease of light intensity. Box is well made with mounting flanges. It also holds your power level settings after you've unplugged it which is very handy. The remote works off of IR, not RF, so you'll need line of sight to be able to control it with your remote. I mounted it under one of my eves.

Just what I needed
This product is exactly what I needed to dim a strand of outdoor lights. Originally they were incandescent but slowly had replaced the burnt out bulbs with these: "Brightech Ambience PRO LED S14 2 Watt Dimmable Bulb - Equal to 20-25W Incandescent Bulbs - Outdoor String Lights – Edison-Inspired Exposed Filaments Design- 15 Pack - E26 Base" purchased at Amazon. They are really bright, in fact almost too bright for comfort. The dimmer works great to lessen their brightness. And the best part is the dimmer *works with a twilight on/off switch insomuch as it retains its dimmer setting even when powered off. So when your timer or light sensor turns the lights back on, they come on at the SAME SETTING they were on the last time.

TWO Remotes and Handles 360 Watts!!!
I had purchased one before that was not able to handle this many watts and overheated. I plugged this one in and has worked perfectly ever since. I use this switch with the Lemontec Commercial Grade Outdoor String Lights with 15 Hanging Sockets - 48 Ft Black lights. The BEST thing is it comes with 2 REMOTES! May not be a big deal to some but I use them across two areas of my basement so that you can control it from either end. The remote has 12 buttons... Power On and Power Off.... 4 timer buttons that turn the lights off in 1, 2, 3, and 4 hr segments. There are 4 buttons that control the intensity of the lights.... 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. It dims the lights to those percentages. There are also 2 buttons that are for dimming or raising the lights in smaller segments. You can set the mood for any occasion....if you know what I mean.I like at 50% when we are watching movies. (I have 11 watt light bulbs). The remote works well a far distances. I have not checked to see exactly how far but there are a number of different items between the remote and the box and it works perfectly. You don't have to have a clear path for the remote to work. With 360 watts available, I put two 60 watt bulbs in an area I wanted more light and it handled it just fine. You can change the bulbs in your string to whatever you watts want just so you don't exceed 360.I HIGHLY recommend this product! I am very satisfied and happy with it and I think you will be too! UCANTRUSTME!I did NOT receive this item free for my review. I paid for it with my own money!Cheers!

Worked for 4 weeks and then died! Amazon let me down upon returning this!!!
I installed this dimmer to control a set of string lights. Installation was simple. Remote control has a number of very useful settings. We liked it very much.I unplugged the string lights to reposition them. When I was finished I plugged the string lights back into the dimmer. The lights were on when I plugged them in. I picked up the remote to turn them off and nothing happened. I pressed the buttons to dim the lights and nothing happened. I then picked up the second remote that comes with the dimmer and it did nothing also. I checked the batteries in the remotes and they are in good condition. I called Amazon support and explained my situation. The person listened and then asked if they could put me on hold while they did some research on the product. After what felt like 15 minutes The line went dead. I have a feeling they did not have an answer for me so they hung up instead of telling me what they learned. I will try again today.I notice this product is out of stock at Amazon and they don’t know if or when it will be available again. I am not happy. Amazon tells me it’s past 30 days since I purchased it. It was delivered on May 29, I installed it on June 10. Today is July 10 so Amazon will not allow me to return it. What to do...I spoke with Amazon again. They agreed to refund all the money I spent on this. They even sent me a confirmation email. The product is warranted for 1-year. They agreed there will not be a processing fee.I sent the dead one back and received my refund. The refund was short $7. The Amazon employee lied to me. I am not happy about this. I have been an Amazon Prime member for many years. I think the employee that promised me a full refund was not authorized to do this. Amazon should fire employees that cannot be honest with customers.
