I purchased the Awlkim Bluetooth Wireless Meat Thermometer before Black Friday and missed an almost $7 discount. I was tempted to return it for the price difference but I chose to keep the one I had. It came in handy when I cooked a turkey for thanksgiving. I used also it when I was defrosting the turkey in brine for 5 days and then cooking the turkey in an outdoor oven. When the turkey was in the brine I was able to set it 38 degrees Fahrenheit and to be safe I put the probe in a ziplock bag and place it on the brine ice bath and it was able to accurately measure the temperature. I swapped probes about half way through as it was starting to get below 50% charge and over the course of the 5 days I left the base station on and would have to recharge it every day or so. The temperature in the brine never went about 33 degrees so it didn’t hit the alarm set point until the probe was removed and warmed up. When roasting the turkey I used the preset they had for turkey meat and it alarmed when it reached the set point and when I checked on it the plastic temperature gauge that is embedded in the turkey was extended so the two devices were similar in temperature readings. The device is super nice. The probes sit in the base handset and are ejected via a button on the top for each one. When it’s ejected the display begins to read the probe. The display is super clean, nice, and easy read and program. Both probes can be individually set with the temperatures you need and each will alarm when the set point is reached. The alarm is reasonable loud enough to hear but not loud like a siren. The base handset set has two neodymium magnets on the back so it can be hung from the fridge door which made finding it easy. The hand held base station doesn’t require you to use an app to monitor the temperature, which is a nice change from having to get a specific app. Too many gadgets have to be IOT devices with their own apps and privacy issues. This thermometer is more conventional just with its own sleek interface. The range of the probes was impressive. My oven was more than 20 feet away and the base could still communicate with it. Overall I recommend this thermometer. It was really well built and accurate.

Should be a Zero!!! Complete junk! Used three times. Worked the first time, both probes connected. Second time I used it I struggled to get both probes to connect. Finally, after stopping and starting the device, removing and reinserting the probes I was able to get both probes working (although one stopped working halfway through the 8 minutes it takes to cook the steak). The other worked until the alarm went off indicating that the steak was done. The third time only one probe would connect. I could not resolve the issue. My wife paid $59.99 for these and gave them to me for Christmas so only recently started using them. Now you can buy them for $39.99. So this JUNK is now cheaper. Also, one last thing, this last cook, again cooking steaks so they were only in use a max of 9 minutes on a 450 degree grill and when I removed the steaks there was a very strong smell of burned plastic. So it seemed like the end of the probes got hot enough that something was melting. Melted plastic is not a great or appetizing smell. Who knows what toxins were ingested. DO NOT PURCHASE! These do not work. They are JUNK!

Used both probes on a couple of steaks at medium setting, the results was very good. I like the way the probes lock in place for storage, programming was exceptionally easy, display was adequate. Only used the product once so I don’t know how well it will hold up. I liked that I didn’t have to use an app on my phone . I could just lay the controller on the grill and watch the temperatures change or just stick it in my pocket and pull it out when I wanted to find out the temperature of the probes. It has an alarm when it reaches the proper temperature for each probe. For the price I would say it’s worth taking a shot so I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this thinking it has an app included, it doesn’t, so when I bring this in the house it does lose signal from the probes. If it had an app, it would act as an extension. Still easy to use, would be good for smaller yards.

Works great. Bought two; one for home kitchen & one for work kitchen. Bought one for my Pastry Sous chef too.

This gets used every time I use my smoker to prepare meat. I like how I can choose the meat type and temperature to cook to.

Bought this on a super sale for sub $5 and it rivals ones that I've paid 4x that amount. Temps register quick compared to my old on and the fact you don't need the on off switch makes it easy to use and know that you're not draining the battery when its closed.

Great little piece of kit. I bought this some time ago and the battery has lasted ages without needing replaced. The display is clear and easy to read, it turns on automatically when you pull the spike out, so it's easy to use, and is backlit if needed. It updates quickly and has contributed to a number of delicious smoked, baked, air-fried and barbecued dishes. Does exactly what you need and came for a great price too. I'm assuming the accuracy is good, because no-one has fallen ill through undercooked meat that I've prepared (that I know of!). And yes, I did stick it in my mouth to test it, and it gave me a believable reading.

This is brilliant. I love how it turns on and off by moving the thermometer. It’s a bright green light and although I don’t have problems with my eyes it would be great for someone who does.

I got this on offer for just over £5 but it's still worth the full price. Handy gadget that has a backlight and can switch between celcius and fahrenheit. Also, there is a temperature guide on cooking meats which has been helpful.
