This was my first time terminating cables with keystones. Using the cable matters cat8 connectors, I thought this tool was needed. The tool itself is fine, but I didn’t find it needed to close the keystones (they close and click pretty easily on their own).

I purchased this product to crimp down Cat7/Cat8 shielded keystone jacks on my network. I am happy with the product and I thought it did a good job of applying even pressure across the keystone jack to seat the wires and close the case. It was definitely handy to use instead of something else (like a channel lock plier) and it will not mar the finish on the keystone jack case. I especially found the locking handle useful after crimping the jack shut as it allowed me to work with two hands on securing the end of the jack with the supplied tie-down. I would purchase again but probably won't need to as the one I have shows no signs of use after using it on 16 jacks and I don't have any other pending projects for friends.

Like the tool, will not damage keystone.
