Do I use the thin pad that comes with this or buy the oval 2" matress that is listed as a "frequently bought item"? Sheet or just swaddle?

I replaced the thin mattress with the oval 2" mattress listed and I used these sheets (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EGXIRM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1#). They didn't fit so snuggly that it made the mattress bow up and they are quite soft. You definitely need something to cover the mattress if you get the 2" replacement mattress. We used this bassinet up until my son was too big and really liked it.

Can someone flip the bassinet over and see what the safety rating is for the max weight? Review picture/website/amazon are all different max weights.

Mine says 5 months or 25 lbs whichever comes first, and I will tell that this is a great product! You can take it virtually everywhere! I got so many compliments and everyone would say that it's a way better choice and value than a regular bassinet, because of the versatility! If you're considering purchasing do it! You won't be sorry!

Does the canopy come off or is it attached to the lining? I am only using indoor so have no need for the canopy.

It does not come off but does have snaps to keep it down.

Does anyone know where I can buy the replacement mattress?
