The greatest thing to have
The very BEST thing you can have for a bed ridden person. My wife (ALS) LOVES IT. She says it is 100 times better than a sponge bath and she feels much cleaner. Just like she got out of the tub.

BUY THIS if you have had a surgery, or have a loved on on hospice!
We bought this for my grandmother who was having difficulty showering and holding her head over a sink or the tub. She lit up when she saw the product. The last few days of her life, we were able to shampoo and condition her hair, and even blow it dry and style it. I would have paid three times this price to see her smile with confidence. (I wish I had found it before a recent surgery I had; it's terrible to have to go without washing your hair when you are having difficulty with mobility...)

nifty, but tricky to use
I bought this for aide's to use in washing my bedridden mother's hair. It works, but it's tricky to use and we've had some BIG floods. Problems: 1) the two water supply and drain tubes are too short. If you stretch the nozzle too far from the water bag, the tube pops out and water gushes out from the bag. The drain tubing is so short that it didn't reach from the top of the bed down to a standard bucket on the floor. When draining, someone has to be on the floor manually aiming the tube into the bucket. 2) The air pump didn't work. The bath was easy to inflate by mouth, however. 3) You must have a sturdy way to hang the bag, which weighs 25+ lbs when full. You can use an IV pole or if you have a strong door close by you can purchase an over-the-door style metal hook to hold the bag. Just make sure the hook is sturdy metal and can hold the weight. A third option is for another person to hold the bag over their head. Even with these problems though, this shower system works if you have two people -- one to wash the hair and one to manage the bucket, tubes, water hanger and to mop up the spills. Oh, and you need something waterproof under the patient's head and a rolled towel around their neck. Would I buy it again? Yes.

Somewhat disappointing
Does not come with instructions but it's easy to figure out. HOWEVER there should be a parts list included and there isn't. The white handle that comes with it is the better choice to use but a part was missing because I couldn't connect it to the hose with what I was given. Very disappointing...it'll have to go back

Refreshing way to wash hair in bed!
Wonderful solution for my Dad who can no longer get in the shower. He resisted it until he tried it and now he really enjoys it.

Cheaply made. Waste of money.
Good idea in theory. Cheaply made. 1) The hose in the bag pops off, made a huge mess. Had to duck tape it to the bag. 2) The inflatable tub is not made well, the sides in the opening are really close together making the opening tiny. Also, the lower tube is too high making it unusable on a bed as it tilts once you put a head on it. Overall, it doesn't work for a bed ridden person. Too expensive for the quality. Do not recommend.

Life changing for myself and the one I care for
This has changed my life as a caretaker . It has made something extremely difficult and messy . So easy and effortless. My client loves it. She loves getting her hair washed and can enjoy the process instead of it being awkward and uncomfortable. I highly recommend it .

Useful
Useful practical keep in mind that the patient need to be completely flat. The bed can't be inclined in any way

My mother in law is bedridden. This shower basin was perfect. I was able to wash her hair with ease. I love that the nozzle allows you to control the flow of the water. I have to say though that it is not a one person job. You definitely need 2 people.
