1:30, NOT 1:40 scale
1:30 scale makes this toy bigger, which is nice if it is the only one you are purchasing, but if you want a set of undersea creatures, they should all be the same scale, especially from the same makers. I bought elasmosaurus and kronosaurus and elasmosaurus is at 1:40, whereas Kronosaurus is at 1:30, so it is too big, relative to my other one. Also, the detail seems less compared to the smaller elasmosaurus. By itself though, it is a great toy: solid and durable. My future children will love it, but it's mine for now!

An eyecatching dino toy!
Everywhere my daughter carries this cronosaur toy, she attracts the envy of little kids her age. Particularly the little boys, they eye it and I can see them pointing it our to their moms! Their little hands reach out. We can see they really want to touch it.It is very well made, solid, great lifelike detail but no sharp edges and so unusual looking and a great bargain for a realistic dinosaur toy. She takes it into the shower and bathtub!

Carnegie Kronosaurus
After seeing the DVD Chased by Sea Monsters, my son was all about the sea creatures from the dinosaur age. There aren't too many of these creatures available in toy form and Kronosaurus fit the bill perfectly. He's made of the usual hard plastic and stands up to play. He's also pretty large and comes to almost a foot long. "Dino-Kids" will have fun with this guy in out of of the tub for quite a while! Recommended

Fun, Solid, and Accurate
This is a very well made toy; it is not at all fragile, but is very realistic looking, making it the perfect toy for dinosaur-loving children. This Kronosaurus was one I have been wanting to get for quite some time, and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Monsters of the Sea
My son is a paleontologist in the making and finding "dinosaurs" of the sea is no easy task. (Yeah, I know, this is a reptile not a dinosaur.) This is a large, fabulous toy. Call it a Kronosaurus or Mosasaur, it's all good and he was thrilled.

Enduring and fun!
We bought 2 of these for sons ages 2 and 3. They squealed with glee on first seeing them and immediately wanted to get in bathtub to play with them. That was about 6 months ago and the kronosaurus still is a favorite. There is absolutely no wear-away of the paint even though used in the water a lot.

Perfect!
Bought it for my 4.5 year old and it's just perfect. He does not let it wander too far and goes to bed with it. What more can you say. Does not have the same detail as a Papo but that shows in the price. Shipping was great as well.

Granddaughter loves dinosaurs and these types of creatures. She loves them like I loved dolls when I was small. I would say she loves it.

Very good indeed
My sole question: the skin looks smooth enough to have blubber under it, but Kronosaurs and their like didn't, helping to explain why they went extinct. Is there some other reason for such smoothness?Over to Safari Carnegie.
