Top quality game play exactly like the ‘80s
Super easy set up, and controls, video, and sound exactly like the original arcade game. Any day you get transported back to the ‘80s is a good day! Couldn’t be much happier with this purchase.

Fun and brings back the arcade classics to your home.
The games in this arcade are fun. Building the arcade was easy and fun as well. My only issue with my product is that the screen has a small noticeable scratch on it. It gets annoying to see the scratch while playing certain games. The company should inspect the screens before they package the product ship them. Over Al I recommend this Tempest arcade.

Perfect size nostalgia!
I absolutely love these. I ordered all the atari versions with the trackball and dial. Perfect size for a desk. Pro tip: before ripping the protective film off of the screen, unscrew the screws holding the glass down a few millimeters. That way when you pull off the film it comes off in one go and doesn't leave any residue (you have to back them off any Ways to get the screen Protector off completely). Another pro tip: invest in some 12mm u-shape rubber edge banding. The edges of the playing surface dig into your hands a bit.

I want to love thus...but ....
So this is a pretty bad system. The only saving grace is it has the tempest setup and some great artwork. But... Everything else fails badly. The nob/wheel is so loose if you nudge the cabinet it will spin, there is no feedback or resistance at all on it. It was so loose i contacted the manufacturer to replace the part, it was then that i found out that that was how it was designed to cut costs or the already overpriced cabinet would cost more! Tempest works ok on this, it takes a bit of practice due to the loose spinner, but the other games feel aweful. Gravitar is controlled using buttons, one for turning left one for right and thrusters, its weird. And theres no menu button, if you want another game to play you need to turn off the arcade and turn it back on. Oh and your scores do not save. Yea, get it on sale if you really want a tempest barcade.

Waste of money
Purchased Tempest machine. Controls did not work on two games and barely worked on Tempest. Returned machine and was told I would have to pay a restocking fee even though I received the machine broken. Item description clearly states free returns. Seller does not back their product and keeps making vague excuses about restock policy that shouldn’t apply to a product that was shipped with a malfunctioning control panel. The games packaged in with machine also don’t make sense as some of them either use trackball controls or lever controls. Do not waste your money. They make Arcade One Up machines seem premium.

Excellent little cabinet
Great appearance and function, with the spinner loose, but not uncontrollable. Each game fits a vertical screen, even if they were originally horizontal games. For vector games, this is less noticeable. To save high scores, make sure to exit to the home screen first, or the score will not be recorded. It was a snap to put together, and each panel is individually protected by plastic for shipping. Sound is not direct, but it can get loud enough, and is game accurate. The screen has nice contrast and is much better than some other screens in small units. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and look forward to future titles.

Nice But Not Worth The Expense
The instructions read very similar to that of Ikea directions. No words, just pictures, diagrams, and number stickers. It's ok to leave those stickers on, as they face the inside once assembled. The wooden pegs are only there to help with placement of screws, so it's not necessary to use glue. Although if you were to feel inclined to use glue, use simple wood glue that has time before it sets up, incase of mistakes with assembly. The material they used are pretty good quality. MDF, High quality vinyl stickers for the images on sides, and nice edge banding. The screen is nice and bright, sound can get very loud, and decent sound comes from the speakers. The buttons feel just like the ones from an arcade. My only complaint about the quality of the build is the dial is super sensitive. This means you have to have it on a level surface, because the dial will spin on its own when you let go to change your grip. The unit is also smaller than it looks on line. The games themselves are ok. Honestly haven't played more than a couple of hours, but the games are fun. Besides the one that it advertised on the side of the game itself (Tempest), I haven't really heard, or played the other games before. You would did think that it would have come with more then 5 games. And if was going to come with so few games then they should at least be the more popular ones. This is a pretty pricey item. For what you get for the price, it's not a very good value.

Atari Arcade Game- Tabletop
It's taken my awhile to post this review. I ordered this arcade game for my grandson. He and his dad finally got it put together and in use. It was a relatively easy construction, although the instructions were not the best (confusing and incorrect in places), but it took about 45 minutes or so. He is not old enough to remember the Atari game systems, so this is a unique set of I would say "vintage" games for him, unlike most of the small handheld games he plays most of the time. So it was a nice change for him. There are several different game sets to select from. We got the Tempest games. The trackball player is very sensitive to unlevel surfaces. So make sure to put it on a level desk or table. The size of the game system is small enough so that it does not take up a lot of room in his bedroom. The games are colorful and fun and uniquely retro, so they are getting a lot of playtime out of it. Overall, I am glad I ordered it.
