Excellent book worth reading
Jim Corbett's way of painting a vivid picture of the jungles is incredible. He invites us along him while he is on his expeditions and as a reader it's thrilling. This second omnibus is a must read after going through the first one. A real treat.

Very interesting
Five Stars for Jungle Lore. It's the most interesting book in the omnibus. But all the stories are interesting If you're a Corbett fan. Tree Tops is really short, it's more like an essay than a book. Jungle Lore is most interesting when it's personal and talks about the author's childhood experiences in the jungle, learning how to hunt and shoot. My India recalls the peasantry who Corbett lived and worked with. He tries to recreate a history of rural Utrakhand and Uttraranchal (previously the United Provinces) in the days of British rule. Because it has so many out-moded opinions about a way of life that has completely disappeared, it's less likely to be interesting and in fact feels pretty irrelevant. One reads it because one has read Corbett's other books.

A well-fitted Sequel
Given that, this is the sequel or a second volume, it is completely different from the first volume in a sense that it is way more personal and gives very minute and amazing details and display of Corbett's person and behaviour. The stories are not hunting stories but more of a learning stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed the first one.

nicely printed
This is a nice hard cover edition from Oxford University press with silky thin, translucent pages which makes reading it a joy. Compact and light weight it comes in at 400 pages and is less than an inch thick. Corbett's engaging narrative is enlivened by the frequent pen and ink drawings. Recommended reading for children and adults

Discover Corbetts India
This book is a great read- after devouring the first omnibus, I missed Corbett's stories and so I had to get this book. In this book I came across a short story I had studied in 6th standard which makes this memorable. I recommend reading the first omnibus to start with and then read this book which covers short stories about Indian village life and his childhood.

Author is a legend on hunting and conservation of wildlife in India
Although this book is not directly related to hunting, it shows Jim Corbett’s great empathy and respect for the hill folk who were his neighbours and includes touching stories about his relationships with them.

Leí Man eaters of Kumaon a los 11 años. Me fascinó.
