We have hundreds of books but this is my daughters favorite. I can’t say why this one is so special but she adores it!!! She’s 7 for reference. Definitely recommend.

We love the simple poetry, the beautiful pictures, and the information. It’s been an enjoyable read for our tea time. If you have poetry resistant kids who love animals, this is a great start

We picked this up to read as poetry with our continent studies with K-1st graders.

My two and a half year old is obsessed with animals. I love this book because as he discovers new categories of animals- right now it’s polar animals and African animals- we can read the poem for that habitat, and the make a game out of looking for the various animals in the illustrations (which are gorgeous). If you have an animal obsessed child, or are studying habitats, I definitely recommend this book!

I bought this as a gift as a result of seeing a recommendation for it on a Montessori mom’s Instagram page. It is such a beautiful book. I will buy it again for gifts in the future.

Stunning - both visually and poetically! Not a lot of children's books have such rich vocabulary. It reads like a poem. I read it to my baby every day and she is mesmerized by the flow of words.

Excellent illustrations and very poetic content. My son loves it and I often use it in my class when teaching about descriptive language. Money well spent.
