I'm relearning guitar, this time electric. The JamMan makes it easier to practice. It can be used as just a metronome, or to lay down a looped backing track or to play backing tracks available from many sources. It has a lot more capability, but I'm just beginning with it. Simple loopers have only one track available and maybe don't allow it to be saved. The JamMan can record and store a couple of hundred tracks. This is great. I can accumulate a bunch of backing tracks and keep them readily available when I want them. I was using an old smartphone to play backing tracks thru my amp for practice, but the JamMan is a lot more convenient. Just dial a number and play the track. I've started using the JamManager software to manage tracks, but there is no manual for it, so there is definitely an effort at learning it. Some consider the JamMan too complex, but it's basics are about the same as simple loopers. You don't have to use all the features. Rich Menga wrote a short booklet/manual for the JamMan (available on Amazon), which is very good. If you're listening Rich, how about a manual for the JamManager software?The bundle I bought is excellent. The JamMan comes with a power supply, but it's kind of bulky. The Blucoil power supply is a lot smaller. The JamMan seems to cost the same whether bundled or not, so why not? I'm very pleased with the product.Curlyjim

I've been gigging for 30 years and this pedal is perfect! I can mess around while noodling while also being able to set up different progressions for playing live. Combine that with SD card compatibility AND usb, this pedal could easily cost much more. And then!!!! You can plug in your 1/8" input to jam with whatever you want. It will take you a little to get used to but, once you see what it can do,you will be impressed. Of course, Digitech has their name on it as well so, you know it can take a beating on stage. I can honestly give 5 stars on a pedal after 30 years

It's O.K but to complicated to work , you'll need a manual to operate this, it has a tempo setting that dances to it's own beat, Which i feel is unnecessary.
