I brought this book at full price for my personal collection. I colour purely as a hobby, one that I put an incredible amount of time and effort in to.This is a beautiful book by Daria Song and is the second in her "Time" series, at the time of posting she currently has 3 books available; The Time Garden, The Time Chamber and The Night Voyage. It is approximately 25cm x 25cm. The same as the rest of the books in this series. This book follows the same format as the previous one and contains a small story amongst the illustrations. In this story the fairy hops through the cuckoo clock to the little girls world. As the fairy is so small, even the most mundane human things, like spoons, are amazing to her.All the illustrations relate to this story, as it is a continuous story, almost every illustration is a double page spread and the single page illustrations usually connect in some way to each other. There are 68 pages of illustrations, 8 of which contain a few sentences of the story. All the illustrations are printed double sided, using alcohol markers stains the next page. However I had no problems with gel pens or fineliners. The paper itself is non perforated, on the higher end of medium quality with a slightly textured surface. I used a mix of Marco Raffines and Polychromos for most of the illustrations I've completed and found that i was able to layer and blend with no problems.Almost every illustration either goes in to the spine or sits incredibly close to it. I found the spine to be very tight but the book itself is very bendy and the spine with some careful pushing will sit almost entirely flat.Unlike the previous book there are no suggested "add your own artwork" quotes. There is however a pair of opera glasses where the text indicates you could draw in them to reflect what the fairy sees. "Through her opera glasses the fairy saw.."I own all three of Daria's books and each one is so detailed, intricately beautiful with great paper.

Daria is a contender to Queen Basfords crown
Such a gorgeous book!So I treated myself at Christmas to the full set of Prisma colour Premier pencils and this book by Daria Song, and I really couldnt be happier! For my first delve into the book I followed a tutorial on You Tube (the clock) as I wanted to do this book and my Prismas justice.I now have "The night garden" in my basket too!Daria is a great alternative to Johanna if you want a break from flowers and leaves or prefer Basfords "Ivy and the inky Butterfly".Although I have to say the latter (Ivy) is twice as thick as The Time Chamber, it is along the same design.

The Time Chamber
I love the illustrations in this book. However, I am a bit disappointed that the paper is not as thick as I would like. I do not use pencils, I use pens. My pens make an impression on the other side of the page and some colour gets through too.I think for the price I paid, the paper should have been a little thicker, as other colouring books from others on offer and of this price are much thicker.Elaine 3*

Disappointed with quality of pictures and lack of interesting pictures to colour
Pretty disappointed with this colouring book, having bought and enjoyed the previous one I expected this to be of an equal quality. Some of the pages just look cheaply printed due to the black ink being so thick, the actual pictures didn't inspire me either, I think I persevered with 3 of the pages before putting the book back into my pile of other books for sometime when I'm low on choice.
