Camaflexi Arch Spindle Style Solid Wood Day Bed with Front Rail Guard, Twin, White

Easy to assemble, good looking, very solidly built. Great value for the money. Even though mine had missing instructions, an easy five stars.The bed is well packaged; mine arrived in perfect condition. Note: The little red plastic flags coming out of some of the boxes tell you where the little packages of hardware are located. You probably want to go after the hardware packages first, because that is presumably where the instructions would be located.Assembly is easy enough that you can do it without instructions. Mine came with instructions for the short rail, but I never found instructions for the bed itself or the long rail. However, it was fairly easy to figure out how it all went together even without the instructions/ A few extra are included of each kind of screw, bolt, etc. The pre-drilled holes are in the right place, and everything fit together nicely. The only extra tool you will need for assembly is a power screwdriver, as there are about 30 wood screws used to secure the slats, the middle support, and the short rail. Driving them all by hand would be a real chore.It took me about 2 hours to assemble the bed. I think it would have taken about 20 minutes less but I spent extra time looking for the missing instructions, and then figuring out how it went together in the absence of the instructions.None of the fastenings are permanent, so if you make a mistake during assembly you can fix it easily. This also makes it possible to disassemble the bed when moving it.The bed is very solidly built, almost overbuilt. It seems solid even when a 190 lb adult tested it. When moved around in it never feels anything other than completely safe. The slats and their supports are strong so the mattress is well supported. The Camaflexi beds are modular, such that this bed could be the top of a bunk bed. If it were, I'd be confident that a child would be safe in it. The parts fit together solidly such that it sits on the floor solidly with no tendency to rock or squeak when one moves around on it. The rails feel dependable.This is a good looking bed, with excellent fit and finish. The wood is high quality, smoothly sanded without splinters or rough edges, and nicely varnished.Aesthetically, the only drawback is a prominent "do not remove this sticker" warning sticker on one of the two interchangeable headboard/footboard pieces. It contains safety warnings, and appears to be firmly adhered such that it might be difficult to remove without damaging the finish. The sticker is on the inside face of the board, so you get to choose whether it faces the top of the sleeper's head, or the bottom of the sleeper's feet.The sticker does warn that the mattress should be less than 8-1/2" thick in order for the rails to provide adequate safety, so keep this in mind when selecting your mattress.

We can't assemble, missing parts! I gave one star. My neighbor saw the boxes outside my door and and took one of them, When she game back the rest was gone. She didn't know I was home. She thought someone had stolen my packages. Meanwhile, I tried to assemble the bed to no avail. I phoned customer service. They were really helpful., trying to find out what was missing so that it can be shipped out to my. I love those guys. When my call dropped, they were phonning me back,over and over again just to make sure I got all the hep I needed. As the time passed it was time to passed, I had to go meet the school bus to.pick up my son. It was then when my neighbor saw me and gave me the last package. She didn't know I was home. I then was able to assemble the bed frame. It looks perfect! I am happy with the finish results.and customer services is the BEST I have seen!!! I had to change from one star to five. I wish I could give more. I will most definitely tell my friends and family about how wonderful my experience was when dealing with this company!

I debated on ordering this bed, but couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Much more sturdy than I expected for furniture you put together. The color is very beautiful and matched the other "crib furniture" we had perfectly. It did take me longer to put together than I anticipated (experienced with these types of projects) but that was because the instructions include a couple different setups and I should have read ahead to not miss a step with my configuration. I did order a 10in mattress because the reviews said it was more like an 8in and while it sits up some, it still works for a single bed on the floor (no bunk or trundle). Ideally an 8in would be perfect, but mine worked just fine. The ability to use the rails on front and back were exactly what we needed for our toddler transitioning to a taller big boy bed (from a low toddler bed). Definitely well worth it and would purchase again. We are very pleased and our child have been sleeping though the night in his "fire truck" as he refers to it as!!!

Update: Three years later and still going strong. Great bed!We looked at several different beds and finally decided on this one, and I'm so glad that we did. It's made from real wood and feels solid, like it will last for many years. I love the front rail guard which is perfect for transitioning from a toddler bed to a twin bed. The rail guard can easily be removed to change this to a simple day bed. You can't beat the price for this type of quality either. Very satisfied customer.

Very impressed with the bed. Foremost, the packaging was superb as I was expecting at least one dinged corner but even with a damaged box the product was fine. Assembly was straighforward with the exception of the front safety rail which did not fit over the bed side rail. I was able to shave down the fitting with a chisel to still allow a snug fit. With somewhat loose dowel fittings a helper is necessary during assembly. Overall the beds seem solid and look great. The slight paint (?) odor dissipated within a couple if days.

The bed came very well packed. Even though the cartons (about 5 of them) had some visible exterior damage everything was packed so well that nothing inside was scratched or damaged in any way. I just finished assembling it and took my time and it took maybe 90 minutes and I was able to do it by myself. One thing to note if you put on the back part for daybed use and the safety rail it is a challenge to make the bed. I can't blame the bed for that, but just a consideration before you build yours.

This bed is extremely well made and was very easy to put together. The directions were straight forward and helped greatly! I was looking around for a bed that would be suitable for my three year old and this was exactly what I was looking for... A twin size made of very sturdy wood WITH guardrails. This is extremely well made and I think the price is very fair!
