I had an issue with it to start off and then i found it was a tricky setup. Both the dongles look the same - THEY ARE NOT. I gave them a couple of re-boots and then they finally worked and worked well

I wanted to play my Nintendo Switch via my Projector, so I thought I get one of these amazing gadgets. You insert one into the device hdmi port and the other into the other device, i.e TV etc. It was so simple and everything works perfectly without any cables, apart from the usb cable which plugs into your device to power it. Now, my Grandkids are playing Mario Kart in a 90" Screen. Definitely worth the money. 10/10

Plug and play is exactly what it does . The product is very easy to install and is a great price . I purchased this product and another one from a different manufacturer which was double the price but unfortunately had to send it back as would not connect . Would highly recommend this product

I am using this HDMI extender to connect the virgin tv box, which is inside a media cabinet in another room, and my living room tv. Same floor with but there are 1 door and 1 wall in between. Easy set up and it works very well. No legacy on the picture/sound and no intermittent signal. 2 days so far and all is good.

I didn’t need to pair the wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver, they just worked straight out of the box, although pairing can be done through the buttons on the devices if required. My laptop has an HDMI port so I was able to plug the transmitter into it and the receiver into my TV. My TV has a USB socket, so I used that to power the receiver, power for the transmitter came from my laptop. Since my TV has a native resolution of 1080p @ 60hz, I had no problems there, the picture and sound quality were excellent when tested across a range of about 5m, you wouldn’t know that you weren’t using a wired connection. The transmitter can get power from the HDMI connection but the receiver needs to be powered using the supplied USB cable. When I connected the transmitter to my Samsung S22 Ultra phone using a USB-C to HDMI adapter, I was also able to switch off the display on my phone and still watch its content on my TV, so I could use my phone for other tasks like writing this review for example. I am very pleased with this product, it is fairly small, very easy to use and it has low power consumption, the transmitter takes less than 2W and the receiver takes less than 1.5W on average. You can also turn the transmitter on and off using the transmit button, which means that you don’t have to unplug it from your laptop when you need some privacy and you can switch back to watching your movie on the big screen again very easily.

Works great plug and play and is fine until the movement is fast then it cannot keep up eg… football match. Just too much data for the device to handle. Would be perfect for presenting via a laptop to a big tv… but no use to stream videos.

Price when reviewed: £ 69.99. Reviewed using: Lenovo IdeaPad 3i laptop & Windows 11. Nintendo Switch connected to laptop via Video Capture Card & OBS Studio software. Samsung UHD TV. The kit comes with a HDMI transmitter (TX), HDMI receiver (RX), 2 USB C cables, Instruction leaflet, Warranty leaflet. I didn’t bother reading the instructions to see how easy the kit was to set up and use. So, in the kitchen/diner I plugged my Nintendo Switch into my laptop’s USB port via a video capture card and opened OBS Studio software. Attached supplied USB C cable to RX dongle and plugged both into TV. Attached supplied USB C cable to TX dongle and plugged into laptop HDMI & USB ports. Switched on TV and selected the correct HDMI port. Everything worked exactly as I hoped it would and after a brief message waiting for the dongles to connect, I was sitting in the living room playing games on a large screen TV from my Switch which was in the room next door. The second picture I have uploaded is of my TV. As far as I could tell there was no lag using the Switch this way compared with using it attached to the laptop and the sound quality on the TV was excellent. Videos stored on the laptop or from YouTube played smoothly without stuttering. This is a great product that I can thoroughly recommend. So easy to set up and use. And together with my wireless keyboard and mouse mean I no longer need to keep carrying my laptop from room to room as I can now control it from anywhere in the house.

I loved how compact this HDMI transmitter and receiver set are, and they are so powerful. Using the instruction manual, I found them very easy to set up and they communicated with each other well and securely. I used them for broadcasting from a laptop to a projector in the same room and it was great to not have all the cables hanging down. I liked how strong the signal was and the picture quality was smooth and sharp. Very happy with these HDMI transmitters/receivers.

Prodotto ottimo con prestazioni più che soddisfacenti e adeguate alle mie esigenze. Naturalmente la trasmissione del segnale negli eventi sportivi ad alte velocità (tennis, automobilismo, calcio, altri) ne risente un po' ma per il rapporto qualità/prezzo che ha im prodotto è superlativo.

We had a party and I was in charge of supplying some of the entertainment equipment, namely a projector and a laptop, and because of the setting I had to either buy a very long hdmi cable or use connectors to connect a few shorter hdmi cables. I stumbled onto this wireless hdmi and I decided to give it a try, it is more elegant than a long hdmi! I opted for this particular set because it comes with a USB type-C to hdmi adapter and all kind of mini/micro hdmi adapters, and I wanted this because my portable monitor has a mini hdmi. Upon receiving, I connected transmitter to my Lenovo Yoga laptop and receiver to my Onoayo projector and … it did not work. I tried pairing again receiver and transmitter to no avail, I thought it is a dud, but then I connected the receiver to my KYY portable monitor and boom, worked right away. Then I connected to my Hisense TV (as seen in pics) and it worked as expected! Connected back to projector and does not work. I replaced my Lenovo with an older Dell laptop and this time it connected to the projector, with no issues! Afterwards I tested with several other devices TV sets and it worked! For the party I took my Dell laptop knowing it is working, over there, the DJ had another Dell laptop and it did not work with his, but it worked with another TV set. So, I concluded that my projector has some issues with some devices transmitting through wifi hdmi. The product has small blues LED that will notify you the product is powered and working. Please be aware, that unless you using (as I did in the picture) a Type-C data and power port, you will have to power your transmitter from a separate USB port. Same with the receiver, if you power a device that has no USB port, you will need to have a separate USB power adapter (eg. a portable monitor like my KYY 15.6” with usb-C ports only). But don’t worry, if you forget all this, the receiver will display all that info (pic #2). We used this wireless hdmi continuously for about 6 hours with no issues and no lag. Indeed, it is a bit hot during long usage, but ensure good ventilation and there will be no issues. Conclusion: this is an elegant solution, easy to setup, works as a regular hdmi cable and in most of the cases will be perfect, but it is not a given, especially when you are going to test with a new device, best to backup with a regular hdmi cable. Why not less than 5 stars? Because I cannot say who is at fault, PWAYTEK wireless hdmi or ONOAYO projector.
