I have the Kitchenaid Artisan 5QT and purchased the KA pouring shield with it. The KA pouring shield doesn't stay on and it only covers 3/4 of the bowl allowing ingredients to fly out of the back. I found it to be useless. This Mixing bowl cover works far better. It locks on tightly to the bowl and does a great job at keeping dry ingredients such as flour from flying out.There are a couple of negatives. The rectangular hole for adding ingredients (it has a flap which can be closed afterward) is a bit small thus making use of it can be a cumbersome. This hole would be more functional if it was slightly bigger with a small chute. Second, the snug fit of the lid is great for keeping ingredients in the bowl, it can be a bit tough to remove from the bowl. To add ingredients, you have to choose between slowly adding via the tiny hole or taking the bowl off of the stand to tug the lid off.Although imperfect, the main goal of this cover is to keep ingredients in. It accomplishes this without question. For that reason, I'd recommend.

I really wanted this product to be good but it's not. I am using a KitchenAid 5 qt mixing bowl. When you try to press the lid down the clips break with the slightest of pressure. I have ordered two of these and both behaved the same way. To me, this is a case of a company not caring about their product and just wanting your dollars. The product could be awesome if they just made one adjustment. The plastic they use for the clips is way too rigid. If they manufactured the product with a slightly more pliable plastic this product would be awesome.

The two pieces dont pop together all too easily but it gets the job done. I dont plan to use it for storage anyway

Did not have a good fit. Came apart practically by just looking at it. Hinged at top and they are not durable.

This was a little cheap… And I don’t mean moneywise I mean in its manufacturing. I’m afraid it won’t last long. But it is nice to have the cover to put on when you’re mixing flour.

2 snaps for the lid were broke off, found in the box, delivery was prompt though.

I tried putting this on my Kitchen Aid bowl (correct size as listed on the box) and it just wouldn't go on. The clips wouldn't go around the lip of the bowl. I thought maybe it was stiff so pressed harder...and the clips promptly broke.
