Worked perfectly and saved me having to purchase a new blender.

A perfect fit for my KitchenAid Blender. Repair was easy. Remember this is put on with a reverse thread. Use the small thin wrench to hold the shaft below the black rubber/plastic spinner in place. It needs to fit in the two flat sides of the shaft which you can't see with the spinner in place, so feel around with the wrench until it guides in fully. I did use a separate grippy wrench from my garage to remove the old, shattered black rubber/plastic spinner while holding the supplied thin wrench in place so the blender shaft would not spin. I tightened down the new plastic/rubber spinner and the repair was complete!

These couplers appear to be as good or better quality than the factory one I'm replacing on my Kitchenaid blender. The removal of the old coupler took literally less than 10 seconds with the included tool. Getting a tool for this job is highly recommended. The new coupler fit exactly. The entire repair took less than a minute and my blender is as good as new! Something I would recommend doing while you are fixing your blender is to clean and lubricate the blade shaft on the blade assembly. It's easy and will improve life of the coupling and the overall performance. Here's how: just like the coupling, the knob on the bottom of the blade assembly unscrews clockwise (backwards from normal for screws). Grab the blade with a dish towel to avoid damage to your hands, then take off the knob and pull out the blade and shaft while slowly rotating it, as it will likely be tight. Use a Q-tip and clean inside the pipe, as well as clean the shaft. Finally put a little oil (small amount using a new Q-tip) on the top rubber bushing and in the pipe before reassembling. Remember to tighten it counter-clockwise. No need to tighten a lot, as using the blender will tighten it sufficiently. For oil, use only food-friendly oil. Don't use household oil like WD-40! Best is something like peanut oil that holds integrity for high temperatures. Olive oil is OK, least desirable are vegetable oils, which gum up over time.

it is a pretty good replacement so far. my only issue is it may be too short. there was a video i saw that stated you may need a washer for the part to be at the correct height. i think that man in the video was correct.

Our blender kind of disintegrated under the mixing container. It took about 5 minutes using the included spanner too to replace the broken part.
