For some reason, the KitchenAid coupler does not last. It heats up and literally melts if the blender is run for any length of time. These replacements do work about as well as the original. Seemingly the only way to make the coupler last is to run the blender on "pulse" mode rather than as a normal blender. Since doing this, the coupler has lasted. The tool is a big help in installing the replacement coupler.

Saves the day and keeps our old and trusted blender going! Such a simple solution to what we thought would be a blender that could not be serviced and would have to be replaced. No longer! This simple part was installed in about three minutes a the blender works as well as it ever has.

Quick and easy replacement using the wrench that came with it. Blender worked perfectly with the new part installed. TIP - Hold the old piece with a pair of pliers to keep it from turning. Blender threads are reversed, so turn wrench to right to loosen the old part.

My Kitchen Aid blender recently had this part break. This was easy to replace and now the blender is back to working like new! Great value and quality made part!

It fit my Kitchenaid Blender but it came with a 5/16” wrench that was too wide. My blender has 4 raised features that surround the coupler. The wrench that came with the coupler was too wide to fit between the raised features. You could probably grind the wrench so it will fit. I had a thin 5/16” ignition wrench that I was able to make work. It barely fit though because the thickness of my wrench barely fit under the coupler. I had to give it a few taps with a hammer to make it go under the coupler.

Oh, oh, oh. I can use my blender again. This one is a few years old. I'm very fond of it and did not want to purchase a different one. This part was very easy to put on my blender. Order came as promised and was packaged very well.

The parts worked great, in my vintage kitchen aid blender! It now is useable, instead of in the trash.

Perfect replacement parts to keep the blender making margaritas

This product includes two replacement couplers and one spanner. The product was delivered rapidly and the included spanner worked correctly to remove and replace the original coupler. The first replacement coupler broke progressively over only 3 uses of the blender despite the other blender components still moving smoothly and easily when turned by hand. All teeth were progressively shredded off about halfway along their length so I think the flexible teeth are too weak for the intended use or the dimensions are not to specification compared with the original part. I have just swapped to the 2nd supplied coupler and added close fitting washers to total 1.5mm thickness between the base of the part and the axle so as to push the contact point of the coupler upwards so it has a thicker cross section where the force is transmitted to the blender jug. Follow up after 1 year: the modification as above provided 1 year of good service (used a few times each week) and then the teeth finally gave way again (1 at a time). Still usable with 4 teeth but looking for another alternative. I would have given 2 stars except for the rapid service and the fact there were 2 parts so I could try something different the second time.

This little kid comes with the spanner that is needed to takeoff the old and put on the new. It’s almost impossible without this little tool.
