Biostatistical Analysis 5th By Jerrold H. Zar (International Economy Edition) Paperback – January 1, 2009

The book was brand new as described and delivered on time. It's well worth its price for the ones who have genuine interest in studying biostatistics. If you buy this for a class, keep in mind that this book does not come with any standard tables and you will need to obtain them from other sources.

This book is priced so much better than it's hardcover US equivalent.. and so far is on par with content and assignment questions at the end of each chapter. The only downside is that the additional charts and tables (such as looking up z-scores!) aren't in this book, which is a little obnoxious.

This book was advertised as being exactly like the regular version however NOT. The main problem is the lack of stats tables in the book. There are NONE! I ended up having to copy them from my professor's older version of the book. This ended up being a hassle because I will need this book and the stats tables to complete my thesis research. I do not recommend the international version of this book at all. Had I known that it was missing a very important part (the stats tables for a stats class...really people?) I would NEVER have purchased this book. Because of this I will NEVER purchase another international version of any textbook.

What a waste of money. This stupid thing doesn't have the necessary tables to answer the exercises. I ended up buying a used fourth edition instead and that has everything I need plus it was in great condition. I personally wouldn't bother with this "international edition".

I used this book every day for a semester...This international version doesn't have any of the stats tables in the appendix and stats tables are really important when taking a stats class (but they are also all over the Internet). The chapter numbers aren't on the header of each page, so it's a bit harder to navigate as well. As far as the main content goes, it was all the same as the 5th edition of the regular (non-international) textbook (as far as I could tell). Same examples and problems and whatnot. Heads up that question numbering is slightly different between the international edition and the regular one. In the non-international edition, question 4 in chapter 2 would be called question 2.4, in the international edition it's just called question 4 (which is located in chapter 2).The REALLY nice thing about this edition that the regular edition doesn't have is that the answer key to each chapter is at the end of each chapter. In the regular edition, all of the answer keys are together at the end of the book, so you have to do way more flipping back and forth.
