Love the tips and cords
As mentioned in the title, the tips are pointy so that lifting stitches off the needle is simple. Even fingering weight yarn ...no splitting. The cords are smooth and the join between needle and cord is neat: the yarn doesn't catch. These needles are super for socks if that's what you're interested in (as am I). Highly recommend if you like working with 9" circulars....or are tired of working socks on DPNs.

Perfect for socks
I am just learning how to knit and needed smaller cords for socks. These fit the bill since I couldn’t find any cords short enough to attach to the interchangeable ones. Work great!

The Best!
I have ChiaoGoo circular needles in the same size but the Hiya Hiya are smoother, more flexible and easier to knit with. I reach for these every time!

Easy to work with, sturdy, tiny miracle needles.
So I'm a crocheter. I've never been able to successfully knit beyond scarves. Being determined to learn, I found a sock tutorial online and attempted to do it with my larger circular needles. I couldn't join properly, couldn't grasp the idea... then these came along.I read a few reviews about a 50/50 chance of loving or hating these needles.. let me just say, I'm in love with them. They're sturdy, my hands don't cramp, they're surprisingly easy to work with even though it's a small circular. The yarn slides easy on it and I love the little clicky noises they make when knitting.I'm very happy to say that, thanks to these, I successfully joined and am a quarter of the way through the top of one sock.These. Are. Amazing. When I can, I'll be buying other sizes.

Be aware of size differences amongst manufacturers.
Just a warning, needle sizes do vary between manufacturers. The Hiya Hiya size 3 needles are the same diameter as my size 2 Addi Turbo squared 32 inch needles. It was when I was transferring stitches from the Hiya Hiya 9 inch to the Addi 32 inch circulars that I noticed the difference.I use these to knit socks. I had previously been using the size 2 needles, but purchased some thicker sock yarn and decided a size 3 would work better for that yarn.

Works fine but finish is a little rough.
I wanted to try knitting on a really small circular instead of DPN. I’m a beginner so it’s not always obvious to me what the best tool will be. These certainly do the job just fine. I do wish I had bought the Addi version of this though. I’m used to the Addi needles in my interchangeable set and the finish on these is not nearly as smooth.

They may be small but very big on service!!!
I love these small needles because I dislike using 3 or more needles when I'm knitting. For many years I've wondered why someone can't come up with shorter needles on a short cable for use with hats or small items, instead of needing to use several straight ones. (I have some that are plastic, but I've found that they tend to bend at the point, just where you need them to be firm!) Finally, someone made them!!!That being said, they do take some getting used to!!!! Since they are so short, it takes some practice getting comfortable with them, but then they are wonderful! Now I can pretty much finish my hats without needing to go to multiple straight needles!! Hallelujah!!

Increased my knitting speed
I heard about these 9" circs on several knitting podcasts and decided to try them out for knitting socks. I normally knit socks two at a time on two circular needles, except when the two socks are not identical. I tried these needles out on a sock pattern I had already started in which the two socks are mirror images and the stitch pattern moves around the sock. On two circs, this requires moving stitches between needles -- not great fun so these socks had sort of languished. I am now making great progress on these socks and probably would have finished them already if I hadn't had other knitting I needed to get done first. Will definitely buy more of these.
