Sometimes the older technology is far far better.
Very Impressive 5 STARS. Following the install instructions is a must. I recommend you have a cheap voltmeter to ensure you don't light yourself up. My review assumes you are capable of installation. Some notes you might find useful. 1) once I got the switch hooked up I had to find a hole to run the antenna wire into the wall. My switch box was a 30 year old plastic one with no holes. With a magnetic stud finder I located where nails might be and a spot I was sure there was air space behind the plastic - no metal or wood. With a tiny drill bit I made a hole just to the far edge of the box so the bit would not penetrate something I could not see. Feeding the wire in was easy. I then stuffed the lighting wires and WE-001 into the box and screwed the plate in. Use a level to ensure it is correctly positioned.2) It took me several tries and multiple readings of the directions to understand how to connect or code the remote TD-318 with the WE-001. Set the time etc on the remote first. Read the part about the 2 blue LEDs under WE-001 directions under part 3 - Programming Transmitters Sensors. The "set button" on the switch is this tiny white dot below the recessed button. I used a chop stick to press it for 3 seconds then let off. DURING the seconds that the top blue LED is blinking you grab your remote. Press the program button on the remote once...once. You have 15 seconds or less to press the number button on the remote to program. They call this the "learn" code. You have 1-9 learn codes. The signal icon on remote will disappear and you have things programmed. This will get you started with on/off command for one stitch.3) It was frustrating at first to finally understand how little time you have to program. Once you understand it is easy.A member of my family has a disability. I got fed up with "can you turn that light on" or "can you turn on the light in the bathroom"...etc. I put one of these in and now my family member grins and pushes the button for the bathroom light from anywhere in the house. I have ordered two more for the hall and the kitchen. This technology blows away wifi controls and cell phones. I highly recommend the button plate that snaps on very easily and the remote TD-318. The switch works manually with ease or by the remote. This is an old reliable technology. My family member can now get in a wheel chair in the middle of the night, flip on lights, and go where needed. I sleep through it in another room!!!I also bought the Midland X-talkers T-70 series when I am elsewhere in the house. All of us are now in contact, independent, and happy. I can prepare dinner without trying to listen for a weak voice in the distance. I don't have to hear, "but I was calling and calling. Where were you?" I can keep doors closed while others watch TV. When needed, call. Two relatives of mine will soon get the WE-001, TD-318 remote, and face plate for Christmas. This remote is well worth the money for hall stair cases and landings. You will be amazed at the uses for this switch. If someone leaves the kitchen lights on... hit the button on the remote for kitchen. You don't need to walk there anymore.

Good once programmed
The switch/receiver works well once it is programmed. The instructions for programming it however are not very clear in places. Specifically, to pair it with a motion sensor, the instructions say " the upper blue light must be on then push the button" but do not say which button. What they really mean is that you should use the on/off button to turn the light on, causing the blue lights to go off. Then press the set button for 10 seconds until it is in a fast flash mode. Finally push the "send" button on the sensor (under the battery cover) and the blue light will stop flashing.

Very easy to setup, need help, here's how
Online reviews suggest this is hard to set up. This is how to set up a wall unit with a motion sensor to work as a regular wall on-off switch with a motion sensor that times the light on and off. It really isn't difficult, just need to pay attention in the instructions to whether your lights are ON or OFF when you begin programming. if they are ON, you can program the unit by pressing the set button for ten seconds then the motion sensor learn button. You move pins on the motion sensor to indicate if it turns on in the dark or the light, and if it is set on a timer. DONE. No need to mess with the programming of the wall switch to also have its own timer unless you don't have a sensor. IF you want to program the wall switch too with a timer, you turn it OFF, then press set button holding it in until the number of light blinks corresponds to the length of time you want it to stay on before shutting off. The small device that snaps on the unit seems as if it is a remote control, but for now it appears that it is not, just a cosmetic overlay, will update if new info on that.

Nice Hardware, POOR setup
The Skylink Home hardware & programs work GREAT. The setup instructions are TOTALLY INADEQUATE. Took me five phone calls and getting their online help guy to send me a special explanatory email. Works well now after a huge effort.

RF Remote works as advertised 300+ ft, but the switch broke after a few years. Did not last
RF Remote works as advertised 300+ ft, but the switch broke after only a few years. Did not last. After only a few years of average use the receiving switch got stuck on. Could not turn off switch. Should have lasted longer and disappointed to now have to fix or find another.

WORKS AS ADVERTIZE
I USED THIS TO CONTROL AN LED FIXTURE THERE IS ENOUGH BLEED THROUGH CURRENT SO THAT THE LIGHT IS ALWAYS PARTIALLY ON.

Component #2 of a great setup!
This is part of a set in my use: ID-318 Motion Detector; WE-001 In Wall Receiver; and TM-002 switch. My goal was to add motion detection to the flood-type porch light built-into my house. It is worth mentioning that this porch light is about 18 feet above the porch surface, not exactly easy to access, but brilliant in lighting. The goal was to add motion detection for on/off purposes to and already installed electrical system.Bottom line: these three Skyling Home products worked perfectly in my application! I did not have to change anything in my house wiring other than to install the WE-001 receiver that is as simple as removing and replacing a standard light switch. Adding the TM-002 is as simple as pushing into the relief of the WE-001.All told my largest, and only, problem with this system was to learn what components were needed to meet my goal.

It's missing a cover so it looks stupid
Box behind switch is not too big so it fits relatively easily into the junction box. Programming is easy. However, as noted by others, it's missing a cover on the actual switching button so that the whole switch looks stupid and unprofessional.

Works well, but it's a bit big on the backside.
Works well with the TB-318 wireless switch. The one complaint I have is that the back end of this switch is larger than traditional switches (understandably so, due to the electronics required). This gave me a bit of trouble while installing it into a triple light switch box due to its size. That's my only complaint, as there was no way of knowing how big the back end was before buying it.Functionality wise, it's been working great for weeks.

Works okay, but not as simple to install as other brands
They have tried to put too many models, with different set up requirements into a single set of directions, very confusing.
