Good product. It gave life to the aquarium and efficiently managed the nitrogen cycle.Four stars only coz it had dust which had to be washed prior to use. For the price paid, we would expect it to be pre-washed and ready for use.

I recently setup a new desktop 30 Litre tank for nano fish & shrimp. The tank was setup from scratch.A week in and even though the water parameters were pretty good, 0 Nitrite & around under 20 Nitrates, my ammonia wasn't coming to 0 but would stay around 0.25 PPM. That however is not lethal in most cases, but I wasn't able to come to terms with it.Ordered matrix, for the first time ever (I almost always use lava rocks as bio filter); and within 24 hours - my first reading of ammonia is at 0. In my experience it is too fast, & it it too good to be true, maybe a fluke. But I will keep testing to ensure it is the Matrix. For now 0 Ammonia.

This will reduce cloudyness and fine particles in the aquarium. One has to do regular water changes though.If you have suspended particals in the water and also want to keep your nirates under control between water changes this helps alot.

Close your eyes and use it in your sump.

Product came with open lid and there was no seal on the container mouth. Looks like repacked item.

I started using these based on many reviews I read that said it helps keep your tank's ammonia cycle stable. It works really well. I put them in a mesh baggie, then put the bag in the empty section of my filter. I also added a few small Pothus plants that filter the water. My tank has been stable since then, even after I change the water. AMAZING!I also found out it was a great idea because I had an infestation of snails. I had to clean the whole tank. Having this in the filter, I had to remove the matrix stuff while I cleaned the filter (I found 50 snails inside the filter apparatus). After the filter was pest free, I replaced the same stones in a new mesh bag, and minutes later my tank was back to normal. AMAZING!
