Great Quality Clubs for My 7-Year-Old Son
We got the Callaway XJ Junior Golf Set for my son, who’s almost 8, and I’m really impressed with the quality—especially compared to some of the cheaper sets you find online. These clubs feel solid and well-made, not flimsy or toy-like at all. The set is the perfect size and weight for him, and the grip feels comfortable for his hands. He’s been able to swing with good control, and it’s clear the clubs are designed with young golfers in mind, not just scaled-down adult clubs. Overall, I feel confident that this set will last as he grows and helps him develop good habits on the course. Definitely worth investing in if you want something better than the super cheap brands.

Good quality set, would buy again
I was looking for the first set of clubs for my five year old who has never played before. I admit I wondered if I could get by with a less expensive set and googled/read other reviews. I ultimately bought the set since reviews suggested it was higher quality and I would rather buy a higher quality set that he AND later his younger brother could use. I had a starter set as a kid and it was fine although one of the iron heads broke a year in. I think it is still expensive relative to potential alternatives but the build quality is what I would expect from callaway - just sized for a kid. I am also particularly happy with the putter and could even see myself using it in a pinch - it is made by odyssey. The bag is better than expected but not a standard size bag. It is sized for the clubs. My one complaint is that the straps aren't that comfortable and are sized for an older child (maybe a normal 8 year old? my five year old is 85th percentile height/weight). Overall, would buy again. Amazon price was same as golf galaxy/dicks with faster shipping.
