I don't do a lot of video editing - but I have have used quite a few of the main software packages over the years (including some from the Magix stable). VEGAS, however, is new to me, so I was interested to see how easy it was to pick up as a beginner.The first thing to say is that VEGAS comes well supported by online clips and tutorials on how to get the best out of it. It has been around for years as a Sony product and there is a dedicated base of users. It is not the industry standard, but you can use it to to make professional standard output. Given the birth of youtube stars I think the line between amateur and professional is somewhat blurred these days, but if you are someone who wants to step up the quality or wow factor of your online videos this will certainly deliver.I didn't find it too hard to pick up the basics. Some terminology is a little different, but the esstentials are similar across most packages. Th ability to set up templates works well and you can customise the interface to your own preferences. There are a massive number of quite sophisticated effects - such as motion tracking, as well as a really great stabilisation feature which does an amazing job (you do have to zoom in a little to get rid of shaky edges) which makes this a big step up from cheaper packages. To get the best out of it, you do have to put the time in - but that is true of any package at this level.You will need a minimum of 8gb RAM and 2.5 GHz processor. Ideally you will have 16-32gb RAM and a SSD as wel,l if you want to work in high resolution. Price wise - there is a sixty per cent off offer on the main website, and this package comes in three versions - so if you don't need DVD creation - you might make do with the edit version.Overall, I am impressed with this version 16 VEGAS Pro. It is relatively easy to pick up and if you are keen you can do a lot more with it to produce a whole range of video output.

I used Movie Studio for a number of years and decided to upgrade to Vegas Pro 16 Suite at an additional cost of £260. That was December 2018 and I have had nothing but trouble since that date. Currently I have been 2.5 weeks without access to the software as it will not load and the support (only via email so there is _at least_ a days lag between responses) are absolutely awful and keep asking me the same question and not reading my responses. Avoid this software like the plague!!

Excellent service, fantastic product does what it says on the box!

This is a competitor to top level pro video editing suites such as Adobe Premier Pro, and whereas Adobe now has a monthly or annual subscription model, this is a one-off purchase with a perpetual licence. This editing software is not for the faint hearted - it does not lead the user through with kid gloves like some of the cheap packages aimed at amateurs just wanting to edit a bit of holiday footage. This software suite is, instead, very full-featured, and should satisfy anyone into serious video editing. There is a learning curve if you have not familiarity with the product, but if you have some familiarity with Magix editing tools it shares quite a lot in common. Ran very smoothly on my 3 year old gaming PC and was rock solid without crashes.

I make a lot of home movies and using this to editor and enhance them and put them into DVDs with menus and chapters etc is excellent. However for the cost it is very expensive and there are much cheaper alternatives out there.

Installation for this software was very smooth. I had no problems at all. The features are powerful and offer you a great deal of versatility. In truth it's way beyond what I would use editing software for, but, significantly, I was able go use it without feeling totally out of my depth. The key thing that I was impressed with were the filters. I was able to achieve some impressive effects that have eluded me with previous software. I get the impression that I've only scratched the surface of this software though.

I'm an occasional video maker, that means I don't have the fancy software that originally came from my old computer (which came from a brand named after a piece of fruit) but instead I've been using whatever came with Windows. And it's not great. So I've got this software now and I actually do like it - it's the proper, full on bells and whistles kind of software. I was surprised at how quick it took to install it, but everything you do need is there - the storyboard bit where you can cut and splice your footage and even split the audio (which I knew how to do previously but my original packaged-with-Windows software couldn't do that. It is fairly easy to pick up, you just need to go out there and film stuff! It can also add special effects and sort out a DVD menu, but I've not touched that bit yet. I do know that it is perfect for what I need to do and it's a lot better. So, does that mean I'll be a bit of a vlogger now? Who knows?! But I'm definitely set for making short films!

hatte schon vorher etwas Erfahrung mit einer Vorgängerversion - es ist übersichtlich, die auswählbaren Effekte, Übergänge, Schneidetools, etc. sind gut und intuitiv benutzbar. Einziger Negativpunkt: Wie früher hängt sich das Programm manchmal auf, wenn man "zu lange" die Vorschau laufen lässt UND das Rendern klappt manchmal einfach nicht, sodass man die Stelle, an der es nicht mehr weiter ging einzeln rendern muss und dann gerendert zusammen mit dem Rest NOCH einmal rendern muss ;)

Pour monter mes jeux vidéos et en faire de beaux films ! J'aime les paramètres de couleurs, mes vidéos bien montées bien présentées, Je n'aime pas le mode " Fusionner les champs " : Couleurs de la vidéo légèrement bizarre, la musique du jeu trop rapide et bâclée, l'image un peu flou ! Je reste en mode " Aucun ".

Ich habe diese Software nun ausgiebig getestet und aufgrund diverser Probleme von 2 Freunden aus dem Bereich Film und Fernsehen ebenfalls testen lassen. Waren aufgrund der Nutzung einer etwas älteren Version die Erwartungen hoch wurden Sie mit der VEGAS Pro 16 komplett enttäuscht.Die Videobearbeitungssoftware VEGAS kommt ursprünglich aus dem Hause Sony. (Zumindest ist das mein Kenntnisstand...) Leider wurde diese Software an MAGIX weiterverkauft. Und die haben leider keine Katastrophe daraus gemacht. Ein vernünftiges Arbeiten mit dieser Software ist NICHT möglich da das System niemals stabil läuft.Installiert habe ich dieses Programm nun insgesamt auf 3 unterschiedlichen Rechnen. Alle Rechner und Laptops stammen aus der Kategorie über 2000€ und bieten somit mehr als ausreichend Leistung. (Wobei man auch mit einem Standardrechner damit arbeiten können sollte... ;-))Da dieses Programm mit einem Preis von um 500€ einsteigt, war die Hoffnung doch dementsprechend hoch hier eine vernünftige Software zu bekommen. --> Bitte grundsätzlich für diesen Preis kein Highendprodukt erwarten...Erstaunt war ich schon bei der Installation wie lange diese gedauert hat. Spontan würde ich auf eine umständliche Programmierung tippen, das kann und will ich aber so nicht prüfen. Ist das Programm dann endlich installiert kann man theoretisch direkt loslegen... von wegen...Da die Problematiken bei allen Rechner (WIN10) ähnlich waren, werde ich nicht weiter über kleinere Unterschiede sprechen. Das Hauptproblem ist, dass die Software instabil läuft. Ein längeres Arbeiten ohne Systemabstürze ist quasi nicht möglich. Wie gesagt, es lag jetzt nicht speziell an einem Rechner; die Probleme waren bei allen getesteten Systemen ähnlich.Es hilft somit wenig das die Bedieneroberfläche aufgeräumt wirkt und selbst dem neuen Nutzer so eine gute Einarbeitungsmöglichkeit bietet. Wenn ein Programm nicht stabil läuft, ist das Arbeiten damit in einigermaßen professionellem Stil nicht möglich.Was das Thema MAGIX angeht bin ich seit nun ca. 2 Jahren immer wieder aufs Neue verärgert. Hatte ich hier früher den ach so schönen Music Maker genutzt, wird leider die Qualität der Programm und die Systemstabilität immer schlechter. Die Probleme die MAGIX vor über 10 Jahren Stück für Stück in der Griff bekommen hat, tauchen nun wieder auf und das bei Programmen die immer teurer werden und immer weniger Neuerungen bieten.Aus meiner Sicht ist das Programm auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

Mein erster Ausflug in die Welt der professionellen Videobearbeitung hat mich leider mächtig enttäuscht. Die Gründe dafür will ich kurz zusammenfassen.Es beginnt eigentlich schon bei der Installation. Die hat gefühlt ewig gedauert und am Ende hatte ich jede Menge Software auf meinem PC, die ich selbst bei der Benutzung des Programmes bis heute nie gebraucht habe. Etwas mehr Klarheit beim Installationsprozess wäre nett gewesen.Installiert habe ich die Software auf meinem Win10 Rechner aus der (sehr) gehobenen Mittelklasse. Er sollte die Software eigentlich absolut packen und grundsätzlich ist das auch der Fall. Die Art und Weise wie sie läuft ist allerdings fast schon eine Zumutung. Der wichtigste Tipp für Anwender ist wahrscheinlich, dass man am besten alle zwei Minuten sein Projekt speichern sollte, denn das Pseudonym für Vegas ist Absturz. Das erinnert mich in schlimmsten Fällen an die Music Maker Ausflüge von vor ein paar Jahren, wo das Programm quasi unbenutzbar war, weil alle fünf Minuten wegen irgendeiner Aktion irgendetwas abstürzte. Das hat sich mit den Jahren mal gebessert, bei Vegas kriege ich aber nostalgische Gefühle.Nun aber auch mal noch ein paar positive Dinge. Was ich bei den Magix Produkten immer super finde ist die Tatsache, dass man neben einer CD auch eine Code bekommt um das Produkt digital aktivieren und runterladen zu können, bei einem PC ohne Laufwerk ist das ein Segen. Außerdem fand ich die Bedienbarkeit und die Oberfläche als blutiger Einsteiger sehr angenehm und auch wenn die Lernkurve steil ist, ich habe mich nie überfordert oder hilflos gefühlt, weil viele Sachen auch selbsterklärend sind.Aber dazu muss die Software halt laufen und das passiert leider viel zu selten. Wenn man bedenkt, dass man für den Preis eine High End Profi Software erwartet, dann wird man herbe enttäuscht. Ja, die Möglichkeiten fallen definitiv in diesen Rahmen, aber durch die vielen Abstürze ist es leider ein Totalausfall.
