Great option for a super healthy mat!
This is a great yoga mat if you're looking to avoid ones with all the undesirable chemicals/foams, etc. It's definitely not padded or squishy, but I'd rather have it than a thicker, squishier one that is made of questionable materials.

Best Yoga Mat!
Ordering from this company was great. When I had a question about when it would arrive, Yoloha responded quickly in a very friendly and positive way and were able to get it to me quickly.I gave this gift to someone who had been practicing Yoga for over 25 years and is a Yoga instructor. She loves it. She particularly likes ot for standing poses, commenting that it was amazing to be able to feel her balance of weight on hands and feet so much more on this mat. It is being used every day of the week and is of such high quality, it will last for many years. Kudos Yoloha for a great product, for making it in the U.S.A., and for a great customer experience.

I regret that I didn't just go with a regular good mat since now will have to buy it anyways
It's way too slippery for regular vinyasa yoga classes. I have to spray it wet before each downdog which is very disruptive for the flow. I regret that I didn't just go with a regular good mat since now will have to buy it anyways.

Very well made mat. Looks beautiful and stands up to abuse. Great anti-slip properties!
After 1.5 years of near daily use this mat is still my go to. While I am relatively kind to the mat, I certainly do not follow all of the maintenance tips that Yoloha provides--yet here I am still getting incredible functionality out of it.As you can see from the photos it has become quite weathered, but that is due to the fact that I'm using the mat for hot yoga on a daily basis and am generally keeping it rolled up and standing on end (as shown). In general after practicing I wipe it down with a gentle cleaner and leave it rolled loosely to dry. About once a week (though I'll admit sometimes I'll go a few weeks) I will give it a more thorough cleaning with a diluted vinegar solution. The cork does crack and flake, but not nearly as much as you'd imagine and thus far this has only caused slight cosmetic imperfections.Favorite Pros:-Eco-Friendly, made in America-Fantastically Anti-Slip (I have never needed a towel/extra grip!)-Looks great (I've been complimented on it more times than I can remember)-Anti-Bacterial, resists odors (even with my less-than-perfect care)Cons:-The mat is a bit heavy (though I hear Yoloha has a new lighter version which I hope to someday try!)-Minor chipping/discoloration will occur (likely my fault and Yoloha does provide tips to guard against and/or repair these issues).Overall this is a great mat made by a great company. I highly recommend giving it a go!

The mat was great to start
I purchased a Yoloha yoga mat in December of 2014. I purchased the long mat which was upwards of $150.00. The mat was great to start, it was very grippy when wet and stayed grippy during the sweatiest of sessions. I used it exclusively for hot yoga which I practiced on average twice weekly. In less than a year the mat was falling apart It had huge cracks in the cork and was worn and discolored at the places where my hands and feet touched it the most. But, regardless of the aesthetic issues, the primary concern was that the mat was no longer at all grippy or slip-proof. I contacted the company, as the website stated they had a lifetime guarantee. They were very amicable and sent me another mat for free with "updated care instructions". I followed the instructions without fail and treated the mat gingerly to try to maintain its appearance and performance. However, again, after less than a year the mat looks hideous and no longer has any traction to avoid slipping. I contacted the company again, which has taken down all mention of their "lifetime guarantee" on the webpage. I explained that chunks of the cork were literally coming off the mat and sticking to me during my practice. They said they appreciated the feedback and that was that. Despite my inquiry, they expressed zero interest in rectifying this situation. There are mats that cost $150.00 and last for a lifetime. This mat won't last a year. If I had reviewed it after a month or three months I would have had great things to say, but ultimately I am very disappointed.
