As noted by other reviewers, there are no instructions included. That makes it more difficult for some people to install. I have included several pictures of the process I used. First, I made a sketch which is shown with the dimensions I used. Then I used a 16th inch drill to touch the spots on the sketch to begin the drill in the table. Next picture shows the four spots, On the drill I marked the depth which was a little bit short of the screw length using masking tape, about 9/16 inch I believe. Also, I had to be patient with the drilling process as sixteenths drill’s tend to break and the table material was very hard. I did the table first without any leaves being careful to line up the middle line with the crack in the table. Also my sketch on one side measured the distance from the edge of the table in. That way all of the locks are placed exactly the same on the leaves and the table so they will all work whether you have the leaves in or not. This procedure worked perfect for me. Great products for the price. Also I like the idea of them sending screws, so many do not include screws.

I used one to replace one that broke. It was a perfect fit and installed easily. I ordered extras in case I have to replace others in the future. I love the fact it came with screws.

Used these to piece together a 10 foot tradeshow display. I used 4 on each joint, with it locked down it is one solid piece. I also pinned the sections for alignment. I had to take some scrap to figure out the dimensions of the screw pattern. It ended up being metric so 3.5 mm between the screw holes from the clasp to the mount. There was no imperial measurement I could use on a tape or ruler might have been 9/64. Once I figured that out it went together well. Seem solid we'll see how long they last.

I’m very happy with these table leaf locks. It’s true they do not come with instructions, but a reviewer named Dan (12/17/2019) posted his installation method, which I found quite helpful. I decided to pay it forward and post my own instructions which are based on his. The first thing I did was to mount one of the locks on a couple of pieces of scrap wood to be sure I knew how to make the join as tight as possible. At that time, I made a template of exactly where the screw holes go. The template, of course, must have a center line to line up with where the two table sections meet. Next, I installed one leaf lock on each side of the table to hold the main table ends together, with no leaves. That is the step where you need the template. To install, drill a small pilot hole for each screw. They provide #8, ½” screws. I used a 7/64” bit and drilled a pilot hole ¼” deep. (Dan used a 1/16” bit, which he correctly noted is too easy to break. 7/64 worked fine.) Once the two outermost locks have been installed, open the table and add another leaf. This time you don’t need the template. Just line up the matching lock parts, tape them in position, drill the holes, and screw them in. When done, all the locks should be aligned so that they all work whether you use two leaves, one, or none.

Just what I needed to keep table top aligned and locked together. Glad I got them.

The leaf in my table was missing a lock. I installed this myself without my husbands help. Super easy and sturdy. My table is together tightly again with no baps between the leafs. Very pleased with this item!

These things really work well to keep table sections tight. Not really hard to drill holes and install. Just have to turn table over and work from that side.
