Excellent
This book as the name suggests tells about how garbage is collected and recycled. Bought this for my 3.5 yr old son as he is very curious about what happens to the garbage and all. Various processes of recycling are also discussed in the book. My son loves this. We keep re reading this on. It’s currently his fav. This entire Usborne Beginners series is just wonderful.

Informative!
It's a very informative and engaging book. My 3.5 year old has great interest in garbage and recycling so I am thinking of introducing this book. I have taken off one star from the review as the MRP mentioned on the book is 150 but it's double here. Ofcouse I bought it on discount but I would appreciate if Amazon mentions the correct price.

Excellent for KS1
My son (aged 6 in year 2) is doing a recycling topic this term at school so we bought several books to read at home around the subject. This is excellent, easy for him to read himself, and very informative. It covers all aspects of recycling; plastics, paper, metal, glass; and composting etc. This is a great basic factual resource to start from, but there are lots of other great books out there to fill in more detail. We particularly liked the Adventures of a Plastic Bottle The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle: A Story about Recycling (Little Green Books), and The Adventures of an Aluminum Can The Adventures of an Aluminum Can: A Story about Recycling (Little Green Books), and for less information but more entertainment there are the Michael Recycle books.Highly recommended for KS1 children, and not too babyish for older children also. I'm certainly learning from this school topic!

very informative book
I bought this book for my 3 grandson to go with the Simba-Smoby garbage truck, it is very informative and colourful for children; it also taught me a few things and working for a health and safety training company my boss said it was good enough to show adults as well because it was plain and simple yet explained the recycling process down to a tea.

Great for little boys!
My son loves bin lorries and everything to do with recycling. The book has real life pictures and is very factual, this is great and aimed at younger children, I learned a few thing from it too.

Great book, but runs risk of becoming increasingly outdated
This book is much enjoyed by my son. It does have the risk of becoming outdated in time, indeed some aspects may already be very slightly out of date, as recycling is becoming so much more normal everyday, year on year as council recycling bin lorries accept more of it these days. The book is still full of great facts though and the basic principles will remain unchanged. A great, slightly different topic from the mainstream and my son thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic range of amazing books.
Usborne books are very informative, have good detailed descriptions and big bright pictures, this was a fantastic buy! The flaps are a novel idea that delve just that little bit deeper.
