Bonaire bch8713cre- Tower heater w/remote.
Bonaire bch8713cre- I typically do not like to write any review, particularly a negative one, until I have at least had a chance to put a product through an honest regular everyday use period. However that being said- I purchased this heater for the 2014 season and it worked perfectly for my application, and exceptionally flawlessly so I believed I found the perfect product for what I needed.I just recently began the second season and just a few days into the 2015 season the plastic oscillating gear assembly has broken essentially making this unit unusable as it also seams to sense the oscilation jam and will not function even just in heat only. It would not even allow me to turn it on and just disengage the oscillating function. I absolutely loved this heater for my application where I set it across the room and used the remote at the table to take the chill off in the mornings. The remote operates every function, and the unit itself also has what I believe is the most and very important feature that turns itself off it is tipped over. Many other models do not have this important safety feature so you do have to ensure it expressly states that it does. I felt this was an extremely important feature since I have three large dogs and anything could happen when they get rambunctious. This unit was only knocked over once that I am aware of and still functioned perfectly for several weeks afterward before putting it away after last season, and a couple of weeks into this season so I do not believe this was the cause of the malfunction. The part that broke is a very thin portion of the oscillating gear assembly. I have considered purchasing another but unfortunately may have to rethink this and conduct additional research on other possible model/manufacturer options as this would be an expensive annual purchase if the issue could be inherent to this model or style. The occilation motor appears to be very strong and coupled with a metal lever attached but it is connected directly to a thin plastic pivot adapter where the break occurred. Seems to me to be either an engineering oversight, or possibly an intended design flaw to create a consumable product. Cannot say for sure in the world of plastic nowadays. I may try to jb weld the pieces together to try to save from just tossing it but that could just be a futile effort. On a side note the seller and shipping were flawless so I am not knocking them in any way.

I like this space heater
I like this space heater. I have high ceilings so it takes a little while to heat my area but I have bought a number of space heaters over the past few years trying to find one that heats such a large area. I find that I have to have it on for a bit because of my vaulted ceilings but it does eventually heat my large area. Since it oscillates it spreads the heat well. It has a remote so I do not have to get up and down from my chair to change the settings. I am sure it would heat a room with regular ceilings quickly. I like the tower feature because it does not concentrate the heat in just the foot area. This purchase was worth the money.

and I'm very glad I did
This has all the features I wanted: remote control, tip-over turn-off, timer, oscillation, adjustable thermostat, and I'm using them all. I'm in LA and we're going through a cold-for-us spell, so the remote is on the nightstand for the chilly mornings. It's also lightweight and has a handhold to carry, and sometimes finds its way to my office. It is surprisingly effective for it's compact profile. I didn't want to give up the silence of the radiant heater we'd been using, but it's size and lack of other features this one has prompted the change, and I'm very glad I did. (BTW there is some fan noise on this, but it's pretty unobtrusive.)

Like it
I really like it. I plug it in at night because my roommates hate having the heater on in the apartment and it made it impossible to get out of bed in the morning. I also noticed that the heater doesn't necessarily dry out my skin. But that's also due to the fact that I live in Texas and it's humid.

Nice and Toasty
Love our heater! The first initial problem we had though was distinguishing the heat and fan icons because they look nearly identical. We went a few hours without knowing we weren't getting as much heat as we would have liked. Otherwise, it's been really nice having it. We have a large kitchen/living room with high ceilings and many windows. It keeps us comfortable and not too hot. It took about a day for it to keep our entire place at a 85 degree warm. We definitely do not regret it and recommend purchasing. Very quiet heater also.

average portable heater
this heater doesn't seem to warm up my small-medium size room like I thought. I bought my gf from Walmart the same price range and functionalities are similar; however, it was better than this one for warmup the room.

Heater works great just as described I would buy another one this is a personal heater. Won't really heat up a big room and if you leave it on long enough it'll cost you a lot of money.

Very limited usefulness.
This heater cannot be plugged into a power bar, only directly to the wall. Unless you want to sit in front of an outlet, it is not very useful. The cord is short, so if you have any furniture in front of the plug in, the cord will not reach. Would not recommend purchasing this unit.
