A passive sub only comes 'live' when the programme supplied by the amplifier delivers frequencies at the crossover sweet point in this case circa 80Hz.It will work whatever the volume set on the amp; becoming louder as you turn up the output to the speakers and it should remain balanced across the amplifier output range so it fills in the bottom end it shouldn't 'lead' the sound heard.You should install a passive sub base against a wall or piece of solid furniture, this will enhance the 'audio coupling effect'. They are not at their best exposed centre stage. The tuned port should not face the audience if at all possible.This unit will augment a standard hifi system filling in below the frequency band of the shelf/bookcase/floor speakers which usually find life difficult below 75-100hz. Bass is power hungry and speaker size responsive so feed it with a good mono amplifier and don't stint on driver size 12 -15" is a good start.I have a old Wharfedale 2 x 10" passive set-up in my bedroom 90% of the time it is idling but just occasionally it comes to life and provides the depth of sound that pleases. Even though the amplifier is delivering less than 1w of power, bass transients will punch this to 3-5w.Buy this LD Systems Installation Series 2 x 8 inch Subwoofer for the sound you want in the space used for listening. And hide it out of sight being designed for commercial applications it is not the prettiest of designs.

Afin d'ajouter un peu de basse à mon installation, un ampli marrantz pm6006 et des enceintes klipsck r51m, j'ai rajouté ce caisson de basse "pas cher".Et bien je suis ravi du résultat même si mes voisins le seront sûrement un peu moins 😁Juste ce qui me manquait dans mon salon de 40 M2.Attention aux caractéristiques, un ampli de 2x100w RMS me paraît beaucoup, je recommande un peu moins afin de profiter pleinement de celui-ci !Très bon rapport qualité prix.Je recommande de plus livraison très rapide commandé le samedi reçu le jeudi !Y a plus qu'à profiter

Il sub in questione è ben costruito, robusto, con una struttura adatta alla sua finalità più professionale che domestica. Io lo uso su di un impianto hi-fi, e certamente la finitura estetica non è il massimo. Il suono però per l'esborso economico è più che soddisfacente. L'importante è che i diffusori satelliti, ovviamente passivi come il sub, abbiano la stessa efficienza, e cioè 92dB (1W/1m), diversamente se di efficienza maggiore si sentiranno meno bassi, ed al contrario se di efficienza inferiore al sub, i bassi tenderanno ad essere più prepotenti. E' altrettanto ovvio che l'amplificazione dovrà essere sufficiente al pilotaggio dei tre diffusori (non meno di 50W RMS). Il taglio in frequenza del sub è posto a 120Hz (e non viene dichiarata la pendenza di taglio in dB/ottava), che avrei preferito a 80-100Hz, più consono ad un subwoofer posizionabile in qualsiasi punto della stanza di ascolto in quanto le frequenze al di sotto degli 80-100 Hz diventano omnidirezionali e monofoniche. Fa uso di 2 driver da 200mm con 2 cross-over separati per entrambi i canali, caricati in un sistema bass-reflex a labirinto acustico con una sola porta di uscita. Attenzione all'impedenza, di 8 Ohm, che deve corrispondere a quella dei diffusori satelliti.La potenza dichiarata è di 100W RMS a canale che dovrebbe assicurare 115 dB SPL. Notevole, sopratutto in ambiente domestico anche di grandi dimensioni.Ottimo anche il venditore. Il pacco è arrivato alcuni giorni prima del previsto dalla Germania, un po rovinato per non contenere patate, ma li la colpa è del vettore che tratta i colli allo stesso modo, nonostante l'imballo sia in "chiaro" e non celato dall'anonimo Amazon.Prodotto più che consigliato.

Ich betreibe in meinem Keller eine 2.1 Anlage in einem ca. 25 qm großen Raum. Zwei Jamo Standlautsprecher an einem Yamaha Amp, der auch bei Stereo ein Sub Signal ausgibt. Bislang hing da ein alter, von Elektronik befreiter, Bose Acoustimass Woofer an einem Sony Amp dran. Leider sind nun die Sicken hinüber. Der Bose war kein Pegelwunder, ging aber schön tief und ich mochte den Sound. Nun musste Ersatz her. Natürlich habe ich mich in die SVS Geräte verliebt, aber die Kirche soll im Dorf bleiben. Also den LD bestellt. Gleicher Aufstellort, gleiche Power. Enttäuschung. Das Ding braucht definitiv ein paar Watt mehr. Dann legt er los, guter Druck, schön tief. Ich werde ihn vermutlich auch von seiner Elektronik befreien, denn Satelliten kommen nicht dran. Für den Preis kann man nichts falsch machen, hätte ihn auch für mehr gekauft.

Il sub si presenta molto robusto e molto grande ma le dimensioni non contano , e un normalissimo sub con una potenza pari a un sub di buon livello da 20 cm . Questo ne ha due messi faccia e faccia dentro ma la potenza mi ha lasciato deluso e abbastanza pesante . . Arrivato nel suo cartone originale ammaccato rotto agli angoli, ho dovuto rispedirlo in un cartone arrangiandomi con quello che avevo .Il pacco è rimasto in deposito UPS del mio sono dovuto andare a ritirarlo .

Ajouté à une installation hi-fi pour renfort des gravés avec ampli Marantz PM 350.Finition solide, rendu satisfaisant mais pas très dynamique avec un grave qui travaille dans le bas du spectre mais pas très percutant... Sature vite.
