I love this dryer with its built-in diffuser and multiple speeds and temperatures for styling my short, curly hair. I've been using it for six months, and it still works perfectly.The diffuser is the star of the show for me. If you have curly hair, too strong of a flow will just leave your hair in disarray. This diffuser is "built in". While it can be removed and replaced with a concentrator, the connection is seamless and does not allow air to leak out the back, so you get the full flow through the diffuser. The diffuser spreads the flow evenly over the width of the front, so you get better drying power without the blasting flow. I use styling gel and a wide-tooth comb to style my hair as it drys.The dryer has two air flow speeds and three temperatures, plus a no-heat button. There are two switches on the handle. They are well-placed: they don't get in the way and are easy to change with a quick flick of the thumb. The bottom switch has three positions to control the temperature (low, medium, high). The top switch is off, low flow, and high flow. You can set it for any combination of heat and flow. With other hair dryers, I had to use the low flow to style, but the diffuser on this works so well, I mostly use it on high flow and high temperature, which shortens drying time. The dryer heats up almost instantly, and cools off quickly.The no-heat button is located above the two switches at the top of the handle. Push it once to pop it out to turn off the heat. Push it again to press it in to deactivate the no-heat. It is important to note that while the no-heat button is out, the heat settings on the lower switch will not work (this is as the hair dryer is designed), even after turning the dryer off and back on. You have to press the button to turn no-heat on, and press again to go back to regular. It is not super obvious to tell if the button is out or in, you have to get familiar with how it feels to tell.I'm spending a bit of extra time to describe how the no-heat button works, because I noticed in some of the other reviews that people complained the heat didn't work. I think this is because, if you don't realize the no heat button is toggled on, you might not realize why you aren't getting heat when you change the bottom heat switch. When the no-heat is off, the heat changes instantly when the bottom switch is used. So, if you aren't getting heat when you expect it, check the no-heat button.Note that there isn't much difference between the temperature on no-heat button and the lowest heat setting on the bottom switch, so you can use the switch and ignore the button if you want. I think the button is just an easy way to quickly switch back and forth between hot and cold.There is a filter on the back that can be removed and cleaned with a simple twist.The dryer is a bit on the heavy side, but I'm not super strong and it's no problem for me. Plus, my hair dries quickly since the diffuser allows me to use the high heat and high flow most of the time. The cord is also very thick and heavy. This is a large dryer, and would not make a good dryer for traveling.I highly recommend this dryer for all who have curly hair. It's well-build and reliable.

I love this hair dryer. My old conair broken down and I decided to get this one and I’m glad I did, it works so much better!Here are my likes about it:- Powerful and quiet, dries my hair in minutes- 3 cold/hot air settings and 2 speeds, love this option- Easy to hold, well balanced weight- 3 attachments, are great add ons, love them! (My hair is really thin and it is hard to add volume to them but this diffuser gives my hair so much volume, 2 concentrate attachments great for straightening my hair and gives them salon looking blow dry effect)- Great quality of the dryer, nicely pricedMy hair looks healthier and more shiny after using this hairdryer, I love it!I am very pleased with my purchase, it’s a great product and I would recommend it to everyone!

Great blowing power but high heat on highest blowing setting isn't the hottest I've ever had... But hair gets dry FAST ... The product seems well made and solid but I've only had it for a couple months ... Time will tell...

I put some pictures up of what it looks like when you get it out of the box, but basically you get the hair dryer itself, and 3 attachments all individually wrapped. The quality of the hair dryer seems quite good initially because of its relative heft, but it's not too heavy to hold. I have used it several times now, once for applying a protective skin on to my cell phone, which needs a little bit of heat and air to mold the skin cover on to the cell phone.I also used the hair dryer with the diffuser to dry my dog after giving her a bath today. One thing I was afraid of is that it would be too loud and scary her, but in fact is not and she was fine with it, which is a big bonus because my last dryer was incredibly loud and too scary for the dog. So that was a nice use of it in addition to drying human hair of course.I also really appreciate that it has a cool function so it will blow air but not hot air, and this can be very useful for certain situations. In particular it's nice that you do not have to hold a button down to get this effect.Overall for the price I am very impressed, as my last hair dryer was almost $100 and this does everything that one did but for less than half the price.

Today I tried this new hair dryer I usually use my trusty Remington but let me say the Brigenius was amazing. Took half the time to dry my hair with 110% better results!! My hair not only dryed fast but the Brigenius also left my hair feeling softer and looking less frizzed like my Remington does! Though the Brigenius is smaller then the Remington without the attachments it is just a bit heavier. Also the attachments for the Brigenius are pretty hard to place on and remove BUT in this being said they will not fall off easily which is always a plus! I love how the Brigenius was 4 heating options! I in heat it has the low medium and high PLUS has the cooling button that is a very nice cool air for those who have more delicate hair! The Brigenius is one of the most quiet hairdryer I've owned (still is noisy but it's not blaring). When I was done drying my hair (10mins) the Brigenius was still cool to the touch which is awesome because I can wrap it up right away without having to wait for it to cool!Overall: a great hairdryer, lots of options, great attachmemts.
