Amazon Basics Portable Security Case Lock Box Safe with Combination Lock for Valuables, Documents, College Dorm Room, XL, Black

Several hotels are removing their safe from the rooms, so I needed a travel safebox for my belongings. I bought one but it was too small. This Amazon Basics Safe is the ideal size to store my passports, credit cards, keys and more. The security cord is long enough to attach on different locations. I bought the Large size, so it's portable (fit in a bagpack) but large enough. It's kind of heavy due to material, but very strong. I only wish the combination lock would be of 4 digits instead of 3 - I think it would increase security.

I bought this item and it was easy to set up combo. Easy to lock and close. Was hard to open and first but once opened all was good. The size is fine for one gun. It is made of metal so appears to be strong. Easy to transport to car and attach.

This case is much nicer than I expected! I have several different brand security cases in different vehicles and needed one for a new truck. It is priced lower than others I have purchased, and appears well made. The cable is heavy but flexible. Very sturdy. I am pleased! I got the XL size.

I previous had one like this but with out the combo lock system and this works out well. Easy to use and no battery needed. The size will will a full size or compact and its in most places and feature a steel cable to secured onto any metal parts. Simple plug and play product and no need for fingerprint or any type of noise coming from the box. Materials feels very sturdy and solid.

Fits perfectly under front seat, cable keeps it from walking away. It also works in my truck so I got a second one.

The build quality is fine. The lock will only keep honest folks out, but it will hinder the bad actor during a "smash and grab"

Great price easy to use though I wouldn’t recommend it for quick access in a critical situation. But it wasn’t meant for that great for cash, passports and other small valuables.

Box seems to be well-made and sturdy, and the combo lock & opening knob is easy to use. If there's a weak spot, it's likely the combo lock where the knob is plastic. The metal of the box is surprisingly hefty. The foam is adequate, but it needed some adhesive so that it wouldn't fall out. For less than $19, it seems like a good deal and suffificent to meet Colorado's intrusive law requiring firearms to be secured in the home if minors are present. Personally, I prefer education and discipline which counters curiosity and misbehavior. XL size is good for my Sig .40 and J-framed .38.

Für wichtige Unterlagen im A4-Format ist er natürlich zu klein, aber für Reise- und Alltagswerte genau richtig. Praktisch finde ich die Möglichkeit zur Fixierung (z. B. per Sicherheitskabel an Bettgestell, Heizungsrohr oder im Koffer). So ist der Tresor nicht nur ein „Behälter“, sondern lässt sich halbwegs gegen schnelles Mitnehmen absichern – perfekt fürs Hotelzimmer, WG, Büro oder Auto. In der täglichen Nutzung überzeugt die einfache Handhabung: Zahlen einstellen, Riegel drücken, zu – fertig. Nichts hakt, das Schloss rastet zuverlässig ein und die Haptik ist für diese Preisklasse absolut in Ordnung. Klar sollte sein: Das ist kein Hochsicherheitstresor, nicht feuer- oder wasserdicht und auch nicht dafür gedacht, Einbrechern auf Profi-Niveau standzuhalten. Sein Zweck ist, spontanen Zugriff zu erschweren, Wertsachen zu bündeln und unauffällig zu verstauen – und das macht er sehr gut. Tipp: Kombination nicht im Koffer oder Handy notieren und den Tresor immer fest anschließen, wenn möglich. Fazit: Preis-Leistung passt. Wer einen portablen, unkomplizierten Safe für Reisen, Airbnb/Hotel, Büro oder als Zweittresor daheim sucht, bekommt hier eine solide und zuverlässige Lösung. Klare Empfehlung! ✅
