Italeri Models Hercules C-130J C5 Aircraft Kit

I am currently working on this C-130 model, I just found out that there are few pieces missing, I did notice that some parts were detached from the mold but now I realize that are missing. I don’t recall buying this model as used one at least that was my intention.

Great kit! I am currently assembling it. The engineering that went into it is outstanding! All the pieces parts fit together perfectly and some fit so good, glue is not necessary, especially the wing mating to the fuselage.

I grew up as a military brat then went USAF myself. Loved the C-130 and even now in my 60's I like to go outside and look if I hear one fly over. Plan to build this one as a Spectra Gunship and maybe even install some motors and lighting.

Overall it’s been a fun model to build. Instructions were pretty good, only a couple sub-steps that were confusing. The tiny little antennas were a bit of a pain. Still need to do some touch-ups and apply the decals. Only downside is it doesn’t come with decals for the USAF version.

My hobby, helps pass time during covid confusion. For me Avation is a religion. Already building 1/32 B17.

The C-130 is a choice model to have but the shipping from Italy to California is a bit steep at about $30. I have since found it cheaper elsewhere because of the lower shipping cost. I was pleased that it arrived weeks ahead of the d Eli very estimate.
