The mold for this definitely leaves more to be desired. A lot of pieces required gluing and clamping to get them to stay in place, the main body gap was difficult to manage, however they at least did it in a way where it's not very noticeable. Still, the mold is not impressive, may want to consider the other available kits.

Item was described as "acceptable". The box was slightly faded but the items inside were in perfect condition.

Very nice replica. Italari did a great job. My only "critique" is I wish the panel lines were recessed and not raised but it looks so good otherwise that it's not such a big deal.

Box is in good shape after shipped great purchase.

Marca conosciuta di modellini aerei. Poco da dire: arrivato puntualmente e ben imballato. Il risultato dipenderà dalla pazienza e dal tempo del modellista. Non è adatto perciò a bambini e a chi si aspetta un lavoretto semplice. Per mio figlio quasi adulto saranno ore ed ore di soddisfazione.

May require little bit sanding to fit

This is an awesome kit of the famous SR-71, which also includes the option to build the M-21 with drone. Only two of the M-21's were ever built and I believe this is the surviving depiction. The other collided with it's own drone leading to the grounding and cancellation of this mark. The kit itself is nicely detailed but this must be an old kit as the panel lines are raised and the fit isn't perfect; needing a little filler and filing/sanding to get a good fit). There are no pilots however the canopies can be modelled open which shows off the nice interiors. Another slight concern, with me anyway, is that the pilot tubes are ready attached to the fuselage and a lot of care needs to be taken whilst working on it not to snap them off. Having said that the plastic is quite forgiving. I added a lot of lead ballast to the front of aircraft as although it doesn't mention it in the instructions, I think such an aircraft would be a tail sitter without it. Overall then, this was a great build and I'm really pleased with my finished model. To get the best out of the kit it's possibly not for the beginner, but then again as I believe this is now out of production, should be purchased now and built when you have acquired the skills needed to make the most of it :)

Ich wollte mal wieder ein Modell zusammenbauen. Bin kein Profi Modellbauer oder ähnliches, habe lediglich in meiner Jugend gerne solche Modelle zusammengebaut. Da das Modell von Revell nicht verfügbar war, habe ich mich für das Modell von Italeri entschieden und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Modell sieht toll aus und der Zusammenbau war problemlos möglich. Einen Punkt muss ich aber bemängeln: - Es wäre schön wenn der korrekte Zeitpunkt zum kleben der einzelnen Decals in der Anleitung mit eingetragen wäre. Ich hatte das Problem, dass wenn die Drohne aufgesetzt ist, die roten Decals auf den Flügeln der SR-71 nicht mehr kleben konnte. (Vielleicht bin ich auch zu grobmotorisch ;)
