Excellent upgrade
My original mountain bike drivetrain was 1x9, but this became way outdated even though the bike otherwise has years of use left in it. Besides limited low gearing, I experienced chain jumping/derailments on just about every ride for the past few years. After consulting my bike manufacturer, I ordered the Eagle NX 4-piece groupset. This particular derailleur is a clutch-type, and in combo with the wide-narrow chain and a wide-narrow front chain ring (ordered separately) I've had no more derailments. The 12 speed cassette tops out at 52t which is a revelation of low gearing--there's no need for a front derailleur with this set up. I installed the groupset myself following SRAM equipment manuals (website) and YouTube videos (Global Mountain Bike Network is who I watched but there are lots to choose from), but ended up paying for my local bike shop to finish setting up the gear selector/derailleur to get the fine-tuning just right. Excellent value, absolutely worthwhile upgrade to future-proof my bike, very satisfying purchase.

Great upgrade for my bike
This is a great price for upgrading my bike to a 1x12 (from a 3x10). Works great. Easy to install. Ignore the 1 star review: the whole point of the NX is that it fits on a Shimano hub! My bike is a 2015 Trek Fuel EX 7

Best for the price.
Yikes that gear is big! Easy to install, but a bit tougher to tune.

it's ok
I built my first bike when I was 17 years old and it's become a thing with me, almost all my bikes are assembled never bought built up. Having said that I've fiddled with shifters and derailleurs for a long time The NX set is mid-tier, I will not dispute that and as such it has a mid-tier finish. The shifting is rough when setting it up on the bike stand but on the road it seems to smooth out a bit with the pedaling force. The set screws takes some getting used to because they're not marked and it's really hard to see the stops inside the mech. The derailleur finish is rough and dull, it feels unrefined when you take it out of the box compared to an XT derailleur but it's functional, I DOOOO love the lockout feature that makes tyre changes farrr easier than on the XT. Also when I installed it, there was some wobble on the derailleur at the pivot on the hanger... I checked to make sure the pivot was seated properly on the hanger and it was so it wasn't my workmanship... it doesn't seem to affect the functioning of the derailleur though so I sent it... The cassette is what it is, remarkably uneventful in is presentation. What did make me chuckle a bit was the fact that I have a track bike with a 48T chain-ring on the crank, now with this on my MTB, I'm using a 50 "sprocket"....ohh how the world has changed... The coating on the cassette will come off at the tips sooner than you think so be aware of that, but it went on with no issue and I have to admit the black does look viciously stealthy.. The shifter is basic, same finish as the derailleur, matte, dusty feeling, rough, like charcoal a bit... The shifts are spot on though once the alignment, limit screws and tension are set properly, still it is no where near as smooth as an XT shift, like butter on toast... I had high hopes for this groupset but you live and you learn, it's not a bad groupset, it's just not as good as I imagined it would be. Chris

Great Group
Great group set. The SRAM NX Eagle totally ricks. I installed this group set on my home built Bamboo gravel bike. Totally love it and is typical high quality as you would expect from SRAM

Works great
Very happy with this. Shifts great. Had to adjust tension after 12 months of riding, that's ok.
