Cloverleaf Pond Heater 1kW - Weatherproof & Adjustable Temperature

I was going to return this item, as faulty only to find a frog had managed to get right inside, past my pump filter !... its not expensive to run, it takes about two days to heat 3 tonnes of water to 10c.. from 1c pretty impressive really and no burnt expensive fish.. also its easy to take apart for cleaning out dead frogs..lol.. 🙃

Make sure you know this is for painting heat .. it won't being your pomd heat up from single digits to double.. if u buy this. U must heat up by 1 c at a time. I.e 7c turn it to 8c .when th light goes out turn it to 9c until u hit the desired temp.. could take weeks .. if your already at 18c and won't to stay ther this will keep that temp

Bought for our Koi tank (500ltr) in our shed. Keeps the temperature at 23c constant with no bother at all.

Very hard to assess really. It turns on intermittently according to the placement of the knob. It doesn't prevent freezing of the pond in really cold conditions. It's hard to determine its effectiveness. But I tend to think that if it was on the correct setting it would work better, however the instruction leaflet it came with says that the knob or dial doesn't influence the operation so I'm a little confused. I think it must be influenced by the rate of change of the water flow through the device the flower the flow rate the higher the temperature and more effective freezing prevention but to be honest this would take allot off investigation and t trial and error it would have been more effective with a feedback thermometer

Installed this in mild weather and turned thermo to lowest level, ran a test expecting but expected it to run cold as pond waters still around summer temp but it started pushing out hot water around 20c.... Cust service usuless so returning heater

Cannot get it to work . 1 half inch pipe connected and a 6000ltr ph pressure filter . . Nothing .

had heater on for few days now. wasnt sure it was working until saw water steaming due to cold weather. fish seem happy so cant complain.

Spending a large amount of money on a heater which cannot be mounted against a wall other than by adding a piece of wood or something is poor. Also would have been better if it had a small LED light on it to tell you if its switched on. I've got mine all set-up but 2 days later I still don't know if its working or not. Bad design really on both accounts. Could have been brilliant and far better than the tubes that are out therel, but then they do have a light to show its working.
