Not that I remember upgraded rather quickly

Is this a bright light?? Or quite dim??

It has a variable light control and can go as dim as you like, whether it's bright enough for you is a bit harder to answer as it depends what your looking for. I find its enough light to read by but I wouldn't want to be tying rigs with it as the only light source. But it does far more than just a dimmer control, it has a passive infra red control and can be set to automatically turn on if you jump up in the night for a run. That is worth the price on its own. It doesn't eat batteries especially when not set very bright and its fairly robust. The only downside is that the back plate isn't very sturdy and you have to remove the light from it to change any settings. I've used mine now for over a year and it hasn't let me down inside a bivvy even in very wet weather. If mine broke tomorrow I would buy another.
