Quality worth the price
The scope quality is excellent. Only issue is with few fingerprints internally on the eyepiece lens (can be seen before assembling with the scope), but it doesn't hamper with the image quality. Face of a worker working on a building at a distance of approx 300m can be seen clearly(my experience as I didn't try beyond). A sturdy tripod is a must as holding in hand may lead to fatigue, also at higher magnification not possible to hold the image steady. Finally I tried my best to focus on First quarter moon (Focussing was acheived in 15- 20 seconds, so easy, only difficulty is with my flimsy tripod). The result was amazing. I overwhelmed with the craters image.(as my limit was seeing moon, not attempting to see Jupiter and Saturn as I don't know where they are...). I tried capturing through my mobile phone camera with "shaky" hands (as I don't have digiscoping attachment. The result was good. I am attaching cropped unedited picture of moon captured through 13MP mobile phone(camera focus was an issue) for your reference for magnification and quality. The actual quality is much better. The eyepiece provided with the scope is of good quality and need not go in search of expensive eyepieces.

Important thing is that celestron spotting scope comes with T-ring adopter (checked in US sites) and a recommended tripod. Amazo
I was aiming for 100mm as its too costly not competitively priced had to settle for 80mm. Amazon US site offers 100mm for the price of 80mm in India. Important thing is that celestron spotting scope comes with T-ring adopter (checked in US sites) and a recommended tripod. Amazon US site it's self offer the related products which is found missing in Indian site. I had ordered a t-ring adapter separately it did not work as expected to fit both DSLR camera and 52550. I am worried which tripod to buy to fit 52250 am afraid my experience will repeat as for t-ring adapter.

Excellent scope for the price!!!!
I was looking for a spotting scope for a very log time, in India for bird watching and occasional astronomy use.Luckily I got this scope from online, for just 11495.Man! What a scope is this for just a throw away price.Build quality is good with smooth focussing.Optics blew me away completely.Right from 20x - 60 x I was amazed by the clarity. Its true that from 40-60x , image gets little soft but still its very good and reasonably sharp. If i use this scope with olympus 8x40/nikon 8x40 bins, this scope puts these binoculars to shame!!!I can clearly see a eurasian collared dove more than 800 feet clearly in 60x.Can count each and individual feathers of northern shoveller(winterin duck), some 400 feet away.Right form dawn to dusk I had no problem in using this scope. Infact I would say its a boon for birders in India. Its just a pleasure to see birds far away silently through this scope. A must have for birders... I also watched moon with amazing clarity of craters which I have seen never before. Also, could clearly see saturn rings with its moons.A hard, serious tripod is must. Do not blame the scope if you buy light tripod, I bought a professional tripod worthy 7k which gives excellent stabilisation.Cons:In my experience this scope has only one con.Purple fringing during high contrast images, in harsh sun light, though its not objectionable.( you need to buy high range scope which come around 70-90k to get rid of purple fringing)
