Jean Greenhowe's traditional favourites: Teddy bears, dolls and Humpty Dumpties Pamphlet

Extremely easy to follow pattern. Beginner friendly. My only negative is that, although I wet blocked the boater hat, it wouldn’t stay in shape after I’d sewn it onto her head. I used mattress stitch (ladder stitch) to sew most of the pieces together rather than back stitch as I think it results in neater seaming. There are lots of instructional videos on YouTube for this technique and also many for stuffing toys if you’re fairly new to knitting.

As for all Jean greenhowe patterns, these are easy to knit and the making up instructors are excellent. Her soft toy patterns really are the best. I couldn't buy this booklet in Italy where I live, because it cost €75 upwards! Bought it from Amazon uk for about a fifth of that, including postage!
