Stainless Steel Steamer Basket with Egg Steam Rack Trivet Compatible with Instant Pot 5,6 qt Electric Pressure Cooker

I got tired of picking the bones out of turkey soup (but you need the bones for best flavor), so I bought this for my six-quart Farberware pressure cooker, and it works great. Just place the water and vegetables in first, and then place the leftover turkey in the basket (on the stand if you wish). A 20-lb turkey provides more than enough meat for two batches of soup. After the pressure cooking is over, you just pick the meat off the bones with tongs, which is easy. You get a great soup with all of the flavor and almost no bones, except some very small ones.There are an endless variety of turkey soups; I just did a Parmesan rice, with 8 ounces of rice, 6 cups of water, an onion, salt and pepper. Then, after cooking on the soup/stew setting, add 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. If you have any leftover gravy, you can add that too. (But don't add flour during the pressure cooking phase, or the pressure may not develop.) A Southwestern taco soup with cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper, jalapenos, black beans, diced tomatoes and frozen corn works very well too. You need something to spice up the turkey a little.

My need is to steam beans until finger pinch soft in a stove top stock pan. My Hapway arrived today in perfect shape. It fits my stock pan, and allows 4 inches of water below the bean payload, so unlikely to boil dry in my usage. The Hapway seems strong enough and is not unpleasantly heavy. If your practice involves boiling beans in liquid, consider trying the Hapway to avoid worry about boil overs. And, steam is hotter than water, important if your time is valuable.

I purchased this basket to have a steamer basket for my Ninja Foodi. It fits well, (8 qt.) and works fine for steaming vegetables. I wish it was a little thicker and more durable, it seems a little thin. The handles you have to watch they can pop off. You cannot use this for anything other than basic steaming. Use the egg holder to set the basket on in your pot and it works fine. I would not use this basket if you want to use oils, air fry or roast, it is definitely only for steam. I have not used the egg holder for eggs, since it's easier making boiled eggs on the stove. The rack is good for lifting the basket up so it stays out of any hot water for steaming. Don't try using this on a stove top pot, it's not durable enough.

Sturdier than expected, it's about what you'd expect for good/average (decent, not tin foil thin). I had a bamboo one, got a couple of uses from it. But not thinking, I'd stored it inside a pot still damp - towel dried but not totally dried. It molded instead of finishing drying so I gave up and looked for something like this. Bamboo is fine with proper care, I just wanted something easier.The included stand is about 2 inches high, leaves room for more water than ones I'd had in the past. I bought a pair of stacking stands instead - sometimes I like to leave things a while, didn't want to ruin my pans (and food) But the one included was taller than expected, so far good for regular steaming tasks.So far no problems, cleans up well. Sometimes things steam onto the basket (looks like water stains). You can get those out with scrubbing, it's the kind of thing that will happen with steaming and anything you use.Very happy with this.

This comes in very handy for the Instapot use. I have had no problem cleaning it either.

So happy I found this. I have the 6qt. Yedi/Instant Pot and it fits perfectly. I have other steamers but I like the way this is made best. I do't really like the wire ones as they are hard to clean and the stackable with some holes in the lid do not work well without water inside the pan and I dont want soggy food. With this one there are holes on the bottom and sides to let steam in and with the egg trivet it doesn't have to sit in the water. The stainless steel is beautiful and the price is sooo reasonable.I don't llike using silicone in my pots as I don't trust it. I have seen it catch fire and get tacky from too much heat so I don't want it near my food. Most of the others out there have silicone on the handles. I dont trust it.

I love steam vegetables so I thought this will be perfect for me! However, it’s a little too small if you are trying to steam the whole cauliflower! Other than that, it’s perfect. I will need to upgrade to a bigger size!

Simple, easy to use, has 2 strap handles lots of holes even on the sides distributing steam through out. Recommended.

Quality seems pretty good for the price. It's not heavy gauge steel so it's a little more fragile than I'd like. Ours had a little ding in it do to being shipped in a padded envelope instead of a box, but it's sturdy enough for normal use. Works great. Very happy being able to cook multiple things, like for example, chicken, vegetables, and rice, all at the same time. Fits our 6qt Instant Pot just fine.Recommended.

I got this to use with the Instant Pot Air Fryer lid and it works very well. The basket is a little bigger than the basket that came with the air fryer. It does the job as described. It came on time.

Very handy for keeping bones separate when making chicken soup in my instant pot. Washed up perfectly in the dishwasher, after using. Just what I needed.
