MARMOT Women's Precip Waterproof Rain Jacket - Breathable, Lightweight, Packable Raincoat

Tested this out recently on a backpacking trip that was pretty much all rain and this jacket handle perfectly. It was cold and rainy. It kept me warm and dry. Love the zipper pockets and hood that rolls up into the back if not needed. I went with a size larger to make sure what I was wearing under it would still have room to move my arms. I'm 5'8" and 145 lbs, and the large was perfect when having a l/s shirt and sweatshirt on under it.

Stylish Comfortable and lightweight

We were in Alaska in August of this year on vacation, and it rained nearly every day - but we were out and about, doing everything we wanted to. The jacket kept me dry, even during pelting rain and sleet during a fishing charter. Well-made, breathable, and waterproof!

I just moved to the Portland Oregon area and needed a new rain jacket!This also makes a perfect wind breaker. I wear this anytime I am out walking around because you never know when it might rain!Very cute and comfortable. 👍👍

Very happy with it, ordered large fit even though I am medium but I like my jackets a little loose. Good fit.

Habe mir die Jacke extra zum Wandern (Hüttentour) bestellt. Hat sich echt bewährt. Sie ist relativ klein verpackbar, hat auch einen ganzen Tag leichten Regen stand und dicht gehalten. Habe zwar geschwitzt, die Außentemperaturen waren aber auch nicht kalt und es ging steil bergauf. Also kann ich die Atmungsaktivität nicht so wirklich beurteilen. Passform ist super, bin absolut zufrieden.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Italy which included rainy city days, but more importantly a week-long hike along the St. Francis way. First, it's a nice jacket, fits well, packs well, pit zips are great for wandering around the city with an umbrella. However, it failed completely on a hike involving rain. My back and shoulders were soaked, including the clothes I was wearing under the jacket. My bare arms were so wet they were dripping inside the jacket. I had to buy several of those cheap rain ponchos halfway thru the week just to finish the hike in a bit of comfort (those things are definitely not made for comfort!). The jacket soaked up so much water it didn't actually dry overnight. It is a big disappointment from this brand, which I have used many times before and used to love. Should have tried it out in the shower for a test before relying on it working for a big hike, I would have returned it and bought something that was actually waterproof.
