This Clipper Ready Works
The first two pictures are off my 27-year-old horse with Cushings, I attempted to body clip him with a heavy-duty large animal clipper which I paid over $250 for, it was a disaster. I could not even penetrate the thick coat. The Sheep Shears Pro did a fantastic job. In the end I clipped off over three large wheelbarrow full loads of hair. His coat was five layers deep. He is so much happier now. This clipper is loud and big but it does the trick. I kept it oiled and in between sprayed it with Cool Clipper spray. I am beyond pleased with the price and performance.

Didn't cut hardly at all.
Difficult to use and vey slow cutting. I'm not sure what happened with the machine if it was the wrong blade or an adjustment error on our part. The cutters motor and mechanism seemed to work very well. It's a heavy machine and feels like it's high quality. The customer service was great. They called all the way from Austalia and gave us a full refund without us asking and offered to give us a new machine at no cost.

Great use!
We bought this to shear our sheep! These are amazing! They shear perfectly. I would say stay about an inch to two away from sheep skin because they are sharp and will cut right through!

Nice shears
I was skeptical at first, but my daughter is in several groups and this was recommended. We've had a hard time with an undependable shearer, he's good, but didn't show up or call. Due to health issues over the last few years we've decided to drop the numbers in our flock. Dropping the number also made my daughter feel more positive that she could shear them. Our very ancient shears no longer work well, the new set I spent a lot of money on doesn't work, so we needed to get another set. She researched and it was between this set and another set, she chose this one and it's been a good choice for us. Due to work schedules and a hand injury, she can only do about 3-5 per session, but it works out great.

Fell apart second sheep permanently broken
Fell apart when I was doing my second ewe. Oiled it as directed. Blade wasn't too tight or too loose. There is a folded bit of metal which fits into slots that hold the blade arms in. It came out of the slots and the arms came free, causing everything inside to come apart. Took my time putting it back together again. Everything was solid and it operated perfectly, just as it did before so I am sure I put it back together correctly. Re-oiled it, used it again for 30 seconds and it just came apart again. I can only assume its complete garbage. Purchased it a few months back so cant return it. I would not recommend you buy it. Could be user error but I am convinced its not.

Sturdy built, however the blades suck. Had to order different blades to get it to cut my sheep
Solid built clipper. Blades died after a couple short passes. Now my sheep looks like it was in a fight with a weed eater and is still not sheared/clipped. Overall disappointed in the product. They do not function for their designed purpose.Update: the manufacturer recommended that I switch blade to a #13 for courser/denser wool. I bought 2 sets and tried one out the day they were delivered. The 13 Blades were actually sharp and I was able to shear/clip my Sheep without too much fuss. I did have some difficulty with reinstalling the new blades as the tensioner knob was wedged on a retaining ring/clip. Just removed the retaining ring under knob and was able to get the blades to set in properly.

Effective tool for the hobby shepherd.
These clippers will do the job well when you have enough practice. The company was responsive to my questions. I was able to finish my "first time" sheering in a reasonable amount of time.I needed an inexpensive solution for my 5 sheep. This 5 watt electric clipper cut the wool smoothly and cleanly. I am a first time sheep shearer with hours of "YouTube" training. The sheep did not lay down as portrayed, they did not cooperate in any was as demonstrated in many videos on-line. The difficulties I had with sheering the sheep were all due to my stupendous inexperience.RAM-A-LAMBA/DING DONG:Ram-A-Lamb was so embarrassed by his first cut, he wouldn't come out of the barn. The lamb, "Ding-Dong' got a better sheering but it was long and shaggy. Bella (the dame) got the best cut of all and I was able to clean up the "kids" after taking several hours to do a 1 hour job.CAUTION: Pull the skin tight and cut in long strokes where possible. DO NOT pull the wool up to cut, you will take off chunks of skin. Pull the skin tight and cut under the coat.

Excellent customer service
I ordered these to use on my Angora goats and Shetland sheep. I tried them in the goats first, the result wasn't great but the seller responded right away and suggested using a different blade. Unfortunately, the different blade made no difference but the seller worked with me to come to a satisfactory solution. In reading the other reviews, I believe these will work great on dogs and horses. For those of you who think your dog's coat is as thick as any sheep, you are wrong... its not the same at all.
