A while back I bought a controller very much like this one in design, size, functions etc for the purpose of taking pictures while standing away from the phone; but it did not work at all. So after much time had past I decided to try again with this device. What made my need difficult was wanting something that used normal batteries because I do not need something like this all the time. All the products I found that are meant for only taking pictures have internal rechargeable batteries or use watch batteries not normal AA or AAA batteries for example. That makes putting the controller away to store it, while not needing it, and trying to use it later problematic. I am happy to report that this one works great for taking pictures. And that two of the buttons will function as the picture taking button which is nice. The mouse function also works allowing you to move the cursor around on the screen and click on things (at least on a Note 9) although I don't think I will ever use that feature. The only thing I tested to see if it worked was taking pictures and the mouse cursor (not playing games for example). I wish more companies would make remotes like this that use normal batteries for those of us who either don't need something like this all the time or want the flexibility to swap out the batteries and keep using it. Another thing to consider is I have a much older remote that is slowly dying because it has an internal rechargeable battery that does not hold a charge for very long anymore. Most of the time if I go to use the older one the charge is gone and it is not usable until I charge it again which is not ideal.

Junk, Bluetooth is out of date Causing it to lag and have a delay when playing games. Impossible to use with fast paced racing Game

This is our second purchase of this item. The top button sticks or can’t be pushed.

I like the holder for the phone so if I'm somewhere waiting like a barber shop or bus ride I could bust out the gamepad and play on my phone. Connecting is so easy I didn't even use instructions very intuitive. The price is also very cheap let's hope it last a while.

Has the look and feel of a $2.99 controller. Works when it wants to. Switches in and out of modes randomly.
