The item is well made of good materials, it is heavy. The moving parts move easily, which is good. The down side of the design is - the opening is very narrow. Considering that I bought this for dental exams on animals, I realized that the opening is too narrow not only for the small animals , but also for human beings. Honestly, I do not understand how a rectal exam on humans could be performed using this item - how could one see anything in there via this device?? Later on I discovered that some people use it for pleasure/play which is their own business indeed, however, I cannot imaging that this peekaboo "would do" for anyone. ;-)Anyway, I returned it for a refund.

It does not open very wide much smaller than expected

When it arrived, looked and thought it looked small. I'm a newbie, so I thought I was wrong. I prepared to insert the device and when the time came it slipped right in. I squeezed the handle making it fully open and I then new it was not what I needed. AND I CANNOT RETURN IT!!!

Don't let it close before pulling it out! It will pinch you.

Going in it feels great. Opening up the rectum feels Divine! But closing the speculum, unfortunately, can pinch and hurt. It’s not rounded enough.

For what they are they're ok, just not high quality. Hopefully, if you are a practicing ob/GYN you will have access to better quality instruments.

Small and useless in my opinion.
