A superior wood finish
This is an excellent wood finish, either by itself, or mixed with waxes or varnishes. It fills the wood, cures faster than raw oil, and it’s totally non-toxic. I’m using it in an oil and wax finish for turned objects. The “boiled linseed oil” in the hardware store isn’t actually boiled; it has added metallic oxides that speed up polymerization. It cures much faster than raw linseed oil, but it’s toxic. You can’t use it on objects that will come into contact with food. This is real boiled linseed oil that’s refined and cooked to speed up the polymerization so it cures faster. It’s the same as the “stand oil” used by artists and restorers of violins. It’s expensive, compared to raw oil or hardware store “boiled oil, but you don’t need much, as it’s not full of solvents, as are many commercial wood finishes like “Danish oil’ and anything called a “wipe on finish.” My home-made finish is one that is used by many woodworkers, and has a history that goes back to the 19th Centiry: 16 parts linseed oil, 4 parts beeswax, and one part orange oil or turpentine. For this small 200ml bottle, that came to 154 grams of oil (the contents of the bottle), 38 grams of beeswax, and 10 grams of orange oil. This is heated in a double boiler to 158 to melt the wax, stirred, and poured into a container with a tight fitting lid. Wipe on, allow to soak in for 15-20 minutes, wipe off, and buff the next day with #0000 steel wool.

Excellent finish for my wooden ship models

Great, natural finish
Honey-like thick, this linseed oil gets the job done. Just what you'd expect linseed oil to do. And as I use this only rarely and sparingly, I really appreciate the small container size.

Gorgeous results, not tacky at all
I have no basis for comparison of this linseed oil vs others, but can say that the results are great and there is no tackiness remaining in the finish. It doesn't smell good and takes a week for that to go away, but I'm sure thats normal. Its the best price I could find, not sure if its a good value however. I will definitely consider this again in the future.

Worked really well on my axe handle...
This is more expensive than your run of the mill boiled linseed oil from a big box store but it's much thicker. I did three coats on my axe handle and it sealed it up very nicely.

Top quality
Really brought out the shine and beauty of the Russian walnut on my 16 year old Baikal double-barrel 12 gauge coach gun. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny; a little goes a long way. Made the wood feel satin smooth as well. The odor is not terribly strong or unpleasant to me. I would buy this again.

High viscosity
The viscosity is so high that I cant see it being very penetrative on wood.
