Works Great.
I was looking to upgrade the original Pentair light that had burn out. This was much cheaper and much brighter. It gives the water a slight blueish color. It's been installed about 3 years as of this review and still going strong.

I would not hesitate to get this bulb
I used this bulb in our old Pentair fixture that housed the incandescent bulb. It fit perfectly and I just replaced the gasket as you should anytime you change out your pool lightbulb. My light took this one (79101600z) off Amazon, be sure to check your light size. Also use silicone gasket lube to maintain a watertight seal.As far as the brightness goes this bulb is MUCH brighter than the old bulb. It is a very noticeable difference as this light actually reaches the shallow end of our pool. For reference our pool is 16x36 in size. I would 10/10 recommend this light

Fits Hayward Astrolite Pool Light
4 Month Update - used light bulb less than 10 hours and it went out. At first, I used the light sparingly, 30 minutes here and 45 minutes there while I took a quick swim at night over the summer and then turned it off. Last week, I turned it on for and left the house for 2 hours and when I came home the LED build would not turn back on. So not a long term quality LED.Did some research on various inexpensice Chinese made LED pool lights. Decided to try this one after seeing a video comparison on YouTube (LED Pool Light Review). Was easy to install in my Hayward Astolite pool light fixture - screws in like a normal light bulb. Was little on the small size compared to the old 300 watt incandlescent light bulb I took out. Made sure power was off before installing. Was brighter white than I expected but I have a small pool (less than 10000 gallons). It's only been 1.5 weeks but no issues so far. Light does have 1/2 second delay before it turns on but no big deal. Will have to wait and see about longevity.

Absolutely Perfect Replacement!
Our pool is about 60 years old and I believe the bulb that blew last year is the original bulb. This LED bulb is a perfect replacement and illuminates the pool every bit as well as the original - but with considerably less power consumption. Installation was a matter of removing the light housing from the pool, open the housing, unscrew the old buld and screw in the new bulb and reassemble. I did go ahead and replace the lens gasket, as well (It's recommend one does this). Now, will this bulb last 60 years? I'm afraid I won't be around to report ;)

Nice Cool bright light
White bright LED light. It gives your pool a Nice and Cool look. Way better than a regular flood bulb. I'm not sure how long it will last but for $39 LED bulb, it's a win. Make sure u also get a new gasket and sealant to make sure that no water will get in the fixture. I will recommend.

Love these LEDs!
It was past time to replace the incandescent bulbs in my 31 year old pool due to GFI tripping issues. I looked at the "light show" LEDs and saw a high failure rate and didn't see any need for those with no small kids around any more and they're not cheap. So I found these and took the chance and am extremely happy with them. At only about twice the cost of new incandescents while saving 90% of the wattage used, this is a no-brainer. They seem brighter that the old bulbs and I love the bright white color. Photo was without flash and not time lapse, obviously with the jacuzzi uncovered and the pool not. Highly recommended!

Got two, neither works.
I ordered this as a replacement to my 500 watt incandescent pool light which burned out. First one I received immediately tripped the GFCI breaker for the light fixture. I tried multiple other bulbs in the same fixture and they all worked properly. I received a replacement light from the seller and the replacement bulb has the exact same issue. Will not work, trips the breaker. I tried both bulbs I received in other light fixtures and they both trip the other breakers too. Again, all other bulbs I try in the same light fixture work without tripping the breaker. Would not recommend.*EDIT* After some research, found out that cheaply made LED drivers can introduce noise onto the lines. Noise that an AFCI/GFCI breaker interprets as a fault, which causes it to trip. Have been using a high quality CREE LED bulb in the same submerged pool light fixture for over a week now, no issues. Also found out that these bulbs will, in-fact, work on a circuit that is not protected by an AFCI/GFCI breaker. Found another use for these bulbs. Added another star due the fact that I can use them in other, non-protected, fixtures.
