Dolomite’s Alpha rollators offer walking support for people with arthritis, neurological disorders, Parkinsons, stroke survivors or people with limitations in wrist or hand movement. A variety of adjustments can be made for arm supported walking. You can use forearms to propel the walker when there is limited hand strength. Arm height adjusts over 9" and the rotation of the arms adjusts 20°. Dolomite uses a welded steel frame, no hardware to loosen at joints. Alpha frame has been redesigned wider and deeper to accommodate the higher center of gravity caused by the arm supports. Alpha has 8" high friction, indoor/outdoor tires. Rear of padded forearm supports is recessed to relieve pressure on the elbow. An Allen key is included for adjustments to the arm supports. Step-less arm height adjustment has measurement marks printed on tube to duplicate settings. Flip-up seat gives the user the ability to “walk inside” the frame for better gait training. Alpha Advanced brakes use a padded bar grip. Brake handles can be adjusted so that little force or leverage is needed. A ball joint on allows you to change the direction of brake operation. Alpha Basic has a loop brake handle. So expertly designed and very well made. Very pleased with it.
I ordered this walker through Amazon almost a month ago and wanted to give it a good work out before reviewing it. I can report that I am highly pleased with it. It is well designed and is well built with a sturdy frame that I think should hold up well. I needed this walker following back and hip surgeries after finding that regular walkers did not work for me because my arthritic hands are not strong enough to bear my weight. I also did not like the fact that trying to use a regular walker caused me to walk bent forward a bit. This Dolomite Alpha is designed so that you can make many adjustments to the arm and wrist positions and also the angle and position for the brake handles. It fits through standard size home doorways (36" and 32" and 30") and maneuvers and steers easily throughout my house. If it were just maybe an inch less wide I might be able to get it through the guest bath doorway. It really shines when you take it somewhere and need to do extended walking like walking long corridors for medical appointments or when going shopping where you walk a good distance through aisles. It is a bit heavy for myself to put into the car (my husband does it easily) and it's a snug fit in the back of our small SUV with the back seat folded down but it does fit. The large wheels make for smooth walking and easy steering. The walker seat is sturdy, a molded plastic, not just a cloth sling and you can flip it up if you want more walking space. The seat is a bit high for me to sit comfortably for an extended time but it is good for just resting for awhile. At home the seat carries and holds my round plastic laundry basket perfectly and the walker handles lock to keep the walker from rolling while I load the washing machine or dryer. The handles are comfortable to grip and as mentioned before there are many adjustments you can make to suit arm and hand positions exactly to your liking. The brakes are designed so that you can adjust them to your own touch and strength. Whoever designed this walker thought of so many details, both large and small, that make it a really great mobility aid. The biggest con is that It is very expensive and that caused me to take some consideration and time before I made the decision to buy it. But once I received it and saw how well it was designed and how well it was made and how well it has been working for me, I am very happy with my decision and this product. I hope to be able to post an update as time goes by that it is holding up well!

Miraculous product. I'm not kidding. I really love this. It's worth the price.
Cons: This is very sturdy--but it is also very heavy. I have an average sized car so it's a chore to get it in and out of the car. I purchased some wood for the back seat to protect the seat and it slides in and out of the car much easier. No it will not fit in your trunk. Now the screws are very hard to tighten. I hate the screwdriver they provided but it does allow one to assemble it (not hard to do). My mom has end-stage Alzheimer's so she depresses the brake constantly--rendering the walker totally useless. However, I removed the brakes and duct taped them on the sides. Since I walk with her she does not need the brakes anyway. It is sad there is not way the user can disable the brakes since I accompany her anyway.PROS: I'm keeping this and this is why. The metal bar at the handles can turn UPWARD so she uses that to grasp onto instead of the brakes. It works like a charm. I have taped the brakes on the side with duct tape so it is out of her reach (since I stay closer to her, her she doesn't need brakes). She can walk the entire quarter of a mile without sticking her bottom out -- she stays pretty much straight and conserves her strength so she is able to WALK like you are supposed to. I used to be so terrified of walking her since she would have poor posture while walking and this 100% corrected that problem. This is the first time she walked the entire quarter of a mile without getting short of breath and she could do even more.Note I took back the product called Upwalker because it was difficult to steer and my mom simply could not use it. My mom with end-stage Alzheimer's disease IS able to use this Alpha Rollator for her walks in the park. It is much easier to steer and since I accompany her closely I don't need the brakes anyway. I HIGHLY recommend this product.SUGGESTION: There should be some kind of cloth storage under the seat so I can put the brakes in there, but I duct taped them on the sides so this is no issue. a BETTER screwdriver to tighten the connections. I'll have to go to the store and buy something later. However, it does work and assembled with what was provided.UPDATE:6/24/18: My mom with end-stage Alzheimer's can walk the entire quarter mile lap without the slightest bit of tiredness (she could barely make it with a standard walker). In fact she is now walking 1-1/2 lap and she's doing great. There is another benefit I did not anticipate--she is walking better at home. She's not "waddling" nearly as badly and her gait is more steady without using any assisted devices. I really am amazed. This product is worth every cent. I have not seen my mom walk this well in over 2 years and I started crying to see how well she is doing. Continuing her daily walks with this--the improvement is truly amazing.9/15/18: She can walk almost 1/2 mile using this walker. Her Alzheimer's, however, is worsening..but there is nothing anybody can do for that. If it wasn't for this product she would have been totally bedridden by now. I am thankful for this product. It's worth its weight in gold.
