DK Eyewitness Books: Explorer Hardcover – August 20, 2012

Fascinating - inventive way to deliver history. ALL SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS SHOULD BE DONE THIS WAY. Kids would learn more, and love doing it! As a long time fan of DK's travel books I suspected this series would be delight-full. It did not disappoint. MORE, more, more! ! ! !

Adding to our child's mini science library. We gave our child the first book at age-5 (now 8). Remember buy the most current revision that has the CD library attached at the right upper hand corner of the book.

My nephew was studying explorations and this came in handy.

They're museums in a book! The info may not be comprehensive but the photos really bring these people and times alive!

I Used This Book For A Unit On Explorers. It Is Colorful And Very Informative. The Students Enjoyed It Along With The Poster. DKseries Is Awesome!

A very pleased grandson who was thrilled to receive such an exciting and well presented book.(I bought a compass for him to go with the theme) . Intrigue mixed with adventure shown with realistic interesting pictures and plenty of information of each time & place explored.Poster and CD an extra bonus. Would please any 7/ 8 to 12 yr old but with plenty of appeal for all generations. Good value for a book that will be treasured for a long time.

My class love this book! It is hardly ever on the display table about explorers because someone is looking at it/reading it. They are always coming to me and saying "Did you know......" The pictures on the CD-Rom are ok but nothing more. Grab this while its still available as it is no longer in print!

I love DK books! The images are always genuinely historical rather than artist's impressions and the layout is eye-catching on each page

Another good DK eyewitness book. Younger children can look at the pictures and older children can use the information for school projects.
